Ivory Homes Adult Utah State Open Tennis Championships

Singles Winner - $1,500 based on a draw of 16. Singles Finalist- $750 based on a draw of 16. Doubles Winning Team - $500 based on a draw of 8 teams. Mixed Doubles Winning Team - $500 based on a draw of 8 teams.

Join us for the Ivory Homes Adult Utah State Open Tennis Championships Player Party. 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Ivory Ridge Tennis Courts on Saturday. The Open Singles Division Finals will be played during the Player Party!

Matches will be played at four locations. Please check your draws carefully. SM = Sports Mall - located at 5445 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. ECC = Eccles Tennis Center - located at 550 Guardsman Way on the University of Utah Campus, Salt Lake City. IR = Ivory Ridge - located at State Road 92 and Center Street in Lehi. LP = Liberty Park - the entrance to Liberty Park is located at 650 East 900 South in Salt Lake City. ALL FINALS WILL BE PLAYED AT IVORY RIDGE. In case of inclement weather, players may be sent to alternative locations in order to complete the matches for the day, matches may be rescheduled. Please read the instructions under "The Big "R" Policy".

Matches will be best two out of three sets, regular scoring, 7 Point Tiebreak at six games all. Single Elimination.

Adult matches will start at 5:30 pm or later on weekdays. Saturday matches will be played between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:30 pm.

Water jugs will be available on the courts. Please bring your own refillable water bottle or cup.

Juniors wishing to participate in this tournament must play at the 5.0 level or higher. Juniors who participate in this tournament may only play in two events between the Adult and Junior Ivory Homes Utah State Open Tennis Championships. For example - A Junior player may play in the Men's Open Doubles Division and the Junior 18 Open Singles Divisions - or a Junior player may play in the Men's Open Singles Division and the Junior 18 Open Singles Division.

We will assume that your intent is to participate in the tournament and you will be moved to the next event possible.

We try to the best of our availability to accommodate avoidance requests FOR A PLAYERS FIRST MATCH ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. After that we are unable to accommodate avoidance requests due to the unpredictability of match outcomes and court availability. AVOIDANCE REQUESTS MUS BE MADE TO THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR, ROBIN WISE, at rwise@utahtennis.com, or (801) 944-8782 x113 BY THE TOURNAMENT DEADLINE. I WILL DO MY BEST TO HONOR YOUR AVOIDANCE REQUEST FOR THE FIRST DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT IF MADE BY THE ENTRY DEADLINE.

There will be NO rescheduling of any sanctioned matches except in extreme circumstances beyond the control of the players (such as a family funeral), and then ONLY with prior approval for the reschedule from the Tournament Director. Players rescheduling without permission from the Tournament Director are subject to a DEFAULT. All court costs for matches rescheduled BY PLAYERS for indoor play due to inclement weather, are the responsibility of the players, not the tournament, including guest fees. PLAYERS ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO RESCHEDULE WHEN ASKED BY AN OPPONENT.

ALL FINALS WILL BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY WITH AN UMPIRE PRESENT

IF MATCHES ARE RESCHEDULED BECAUSE OF WEATHER, I WILL POST INSTRUCTIONS ON THE TOURNAMENT WEBSITE. In case of RAIN - please do not leave the site. Weather can change quickly and matches may be resumed sooner than you think. Even if the weather is "iffy" where you are (unless otherwise instructed by a Tournament Official) always go to your site to check in for your match, regardless of weather conditions. If there is a rain delay, alternative instructions will be posted at the Tournament Desk. Playing indoors will be a last resort and every effort will be made to reschedule matches outdoors if weather permits. Players may be sent to alternative locations in order to complete the matches for the day. PLEASE BE PATIENT.

NO refunds after the draws have been made - which is two days before the draws are posted.

Draws are posted 3 days prior to the event. It is the player's responsibility to check the draws for scheduled match times and locations. Draws are posted on the tournament website at www.utahtennis.com. Always check the tournament website before your matches. It is the player's responsibility to check for any changes that may occur.

USTA Rules of Tennis and USTA Tournament Regulations, including the Point Penalty System will be enforced throughout the Ivory Homes Adult Utah State Ope Tennis Championships.
