NTRP EVENTS WILL BEGIN AT 4:00 pm ON FRIDAY, JUNE 8. CLAY
COURT CATAGORIES, FAMILY DOUBLES AND SOME AGE CATEGORIES MAY BEGIN
SATURDAY, JUNE 9.
IMPORTANT NOTES: All entries via TennisLink only. When
registering for doubles, a partner must be designated and paid.
Failure to pay all entry fees at the time of registration may
result in elimination from the draw.
It is your responsibility to make sure your player records are
mailed/emailed to (Denver Tennis Club Attn: Eric Holmes 400 Forest
Street Denver, CO 80220;
directors@denvercityopen.org) for proper seeding of all
events, MUST BE RECEIVED BY JUNE 3rd.
AVOIDANCES: (Must be submitted on or before June 3) Avoidance
issues will be considered only for first round matches if they are
received prior to the entry deadline. There are no guarantees that
avoidances will be accommodated.
EVENT SCHEDULE: NTRP divisions begin Friday June 8. Clay
court events, family doubles and some age categories may begin
Saturday, June 9. Remaining divisions and Open Level will begin
Monday, June 11. Depending on the size of the draws some divisions
may be combined and/or may finish before the finals weekend.
NTRP 4.0 and 4.5 Singles and Doubles will be scheduled
throughout the tournament beginning Friday June 8 at 4pm. Every
attempt will be made to prevent any entrant from playing two
Singles matches in one day. However, players, if entering singles
and doubles, should be prepared to play more than one match in a
day.
NTRP 4.0 and 4.5 Singles will play best two out of three full
sets. Doubles will play a tie-break in lieu of a third set. Players
entering 4.0 Singles may not enter 4.5 singles.
NTRP 4.0 and 4.5 Singles and Doubles and 3.5 Doubles scheduled
during weekdays will begin at 5pm except for Friday, June 8 when
matches begin at 4pm.
All 55 and older doubles (MWXd+55-+80) will be played on
clay.
A 10 point tie-break will be played in lieu of a third set for
ALL age categories.
PRACTICE COURTS: There are no practice courts available at
the Denver Tennis Club.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the event of inclement weather, every
effort will be made to complete the tournament in its entirety and
in a timely manner. During inclement weather delays, remain at the
tournament site until the tournament staff informs you of the
playing schedule. Players must check in at the tournament desk by
their regularly scheduled times unless the tournament committee has
published a delay in check-in times. The tournament will make a
decision on the continuation of play including
suspension/resumption of current matches and/or moving play
indoors. If there is a significant weather delay you may visit
www.denvercityopen.org for updated tournament information. In the
case of inclement weather, fees are non-refundable if the
tournament is shortened or otherwise modified.
FINAL WEEKEND SCHEDULE: All Open Level semi-finals will be
schedule for Saturday June 16 (times TBA); All Open Level finals
will be scheduled for Sunday, June 17 (times TBA).
PRIZE MONEY: Prize money to be announced.
STUDENT ATHLETES: Entrants are to consult applicable NCAA
and CHSSA regulations regarding acceptance of prize money or any
form of reimbursement.
DRAWS: Will be posted by midnight June 6. It is the
responsibility of the participant to obtain his/her match times.
Participants will NOT be called for match time reminders.
CONFLICTS: Players should be available to play any time
during the tournament week except as designated above. No
matches will be rescheduled due to conflicts.
REFUND POLICY: Participants must be able to play at
designated times - ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS AFTER THE REGISTRATION
DEADLINE.
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR COMMITTEE: All decisions made by the
Tournament Directors' Committee are final.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Saturday, June 2, 2018 11:59:00 PM Mountain Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
