SINGLES DRAW IS POSTED
Players - Please check your day and time you play. Singles matches
start at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 5th. You can get on the courts at
8:00 am if you wish to practice. I use a full feed in consolation
format. If you win plan on playing one match per day in the morning if
you lose you will feed into the consolation. Please let me know if you
don't want to play the consolation. Consolation matches start at 8:30
am Sunday and continue at the same time through the week. Consolation
matches are best of three sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of
the third set with regular scoring. All main draw matches are the best
of three sets. I use a regular (switch at six points and every
multiple of six) tiebreak method. Not the coman method. Main draw
singles matches follow the consolation matches starting at 10:00 am.
Doubles starts Sunday, May 6th. I scheduled doubles for the afternoon.
Due to the consolation format singles double rounds are Wednesday, May
9th. You may have three matches in one day but I
try to avoid it.

YOU CAN STILL GET IN THE DOUBLES DRAW
I leave the doubles event open until Saturday night, May 5th. Please let me know if you want to play. Doubles starts Sunday, May 6th.

PRACTICE COURTS, Stringing and Massage Service, Player Party
Practice courts are available before the tournament starts. If you need a
court for Friday May 4th please let me know. I'm finishing up the men's 55s and will be working around that. There is one practice court available for the
entirety of the tournament. You can reserve that practice court for 30
minutes (four players to a court). I accommodate Saturday scheduled
players with practice courts since they are playing that day. Please be
aware that we are using seven indoor courts. Courts 9 - 12 in the
Founders' Court Building (medium pace surface) and courts 1 - 3
(adjacent to club house). Courts 1 - 3 are newly resurfaced and are
playing slower than courts 9 - 12. Make sure you practice in both
buildings. You are randomly assigned a court for your live match. Also
I do not
allow players to practice on a court adjacent to a live match. There
needs to be a buffer court for you to practice on a court. We're at
2,600 feet elevation. We have a certified stringer (Bill Gray) on site
to string/restring racquets. Eric Deegear 210-617-3399 will set up his
massage table. Please get with him on pricing. The player party is
Sunday, May 6th, 6:00 pm in the clubhouse. Healthy catered free
food - bring your spouse and entourage.

Dear Players, Please look at the seeding and respond if you think it isn't correct. I'll give you two full days to respond ending Tuesday, April 24th at 6:00 pm. I'll make the draw with the referee this weekend and post by Tuesday, May 1. The USTA national seeder and I used the "All Factors" method to seed. Including using the latest 12 month rolling list, head to head comparison, quality wins, UTR rating, results from last year including the 2017 national indoors, recent results including the Bocage Cat II tournament, lack of results and rankings from the men's 45s. Please contact me at 208-602-1493 or robert@robertsterk.com.
