SINGLES DRAW IS POSTED
Players - Please check your day and time you play. Singles matches start at 9:00 am on Monday, April 30th. You can get on the courts at 8:00 am if you wish to practice. I use a full feed in consolation format. If you win plan on playing one match per day in the morning if you lose you will feed into the consolation. Please let me know if you don't want to play the consolation. Consolation matches start at 8:30 am Tuesday and continue at the time through the week. Consolation matches are best of three sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set with regular scoring. All main draw matches are the best of three sets. I use a regular (switch at six points and every multiple of six) tiebreak method. Not the coman method. Main draw singles matches follow the consolation matches starting at 10:00 am. Doubles starts Tuesday, May 1st. I scheduled doubles for the afternoon. Due to the consolation format singles double rounds are Friday, May 4th and Saturday, May 5th. You may have three matches in one day but I try to avoid it.

PRACTICE COURTS, Stringing and Massage Service, Player Party
Practice courts are available before the tournament starts. If you need courts Friday or Saturday, April 28/29 please contact me at 208-602-1493. I'll get you a court and find someone to hit with if need be (no charge for court rental or hitting partner). If you need a court for Sunday April 29th there will be plenty available especially from noon on (no charge). There is one practice court available for the entirety of the tournament. You can reserve that practice court for 30 minutes (four players to a court). I accommodate Monday scheduled players with practice courts since they are playing that day. Please be aware that we are using seven indoor courts. Courts 9 - 12 in the Founders' Court Building (medium pace surface) and courts 1 - 3 (adjacent to club house). Courts 1 - 3 are newly resurfaced and are playing slower than courts 9 - 12. Make sure you practice in both buildings. You are randomly assigned a court for your live match. Also I do not
allow players to practice on a court adjacent to a live match. There
needs to be a buffer court for you to practice on a court. We're at 2,600 feet elevation. We have a certified stringer (Bill Gray) on site to string/restring racquets. Eric Deegear 210-617-3399 will set up his massage table. Please get with him on pricing. The player party is Monday, April 30th, 6:00 pm in the clubhouse. Healthy catered free food - bring your spouse and entourage.

PRELIMINARY SINGLES SEEDS ARE POSTED
Dear Singles Players, I'm giving you two full days to respond. Please call me at 208-602-1493 or email me at robert@robertsterk.com if you think the seeding should be changed. You have until Friday, April 20th 6:00 pm. I'm making the draw Sunday, April 22nd. The USTA National Seeder and I used the 12 month rolling standing list (April 16), head to head comparison, UTR rating, past performance from a year ago including results from the national indoors, lack of results, recent performance and surface type as factors. Seeding isn't an exact science and can not be 100% objective. There is a bit of tournament director "magic" that is involved and I am confident again this year that we will be seeing quite a bit of red into the quarterfinals. I am passionate about seeding correctly and want to make this tournament the best tournament you have ever experienced. Please consider playing the Men's 50 Indoors which starts Saturday, May 5th and ends May 9th. I would love to have you play. WELCOME TO BOISE IDAHO
