Saturday - All Singles matches are best of three sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
Sunday - All Singles matches are full 3 sets
Starting Monday all Main Draw matches are full sets and Singles Consolation will be best of three sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
Doubles will be an 8 game pro-set through the semis, with a set tiebreak played at 8-all. The set tie-break is a 7-point format.
The Doubles Final and Playoff matches will be best of three sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
Basically any day two rounds of singles are scheduled, a match tiebreak will be played in lieu of the third set. IT BEARS REPEATING - ALL PLAYERS IN THE SEMIFINALS OF DOUBLES WILL PLAY AGAIN, EITHER FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP OR THE 3rd/4th POSITION!

USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments
SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using only the results from the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list
Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists:
• Southern Closed Championships (June) Published List on Monday prior to tournament start
• Southern Championships (other than June) Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start
• Southern Designated Published List at least 8 days prior to tournament start
• Southern Level 3 Published List used for Selections tournament start

In addition to the list, other criteria to consider:
• Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division.
• Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

6/13 FRI: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
6/14 SAT: 7:00 AM - -5:00 PM
6/15 SUN: 7:00 AM --1:00 PM

Due to Alternate notification and Draw Changes, it is imperative for you to add contact information (email and phone) during the online registration process when asked. So a player does not lose out, please help us and yourselves by offering this contact information. If you did not add your contact information during registration, you can email this information to maconten@bellsouth.net at anytime.

Please fill your coolers with ice at the hotels. Ice is provided at all sites, but it may run out and replacement may be slow coming.

On-site alternates should report to the Cheryl Helton, referee, at JDS 30 minutes prior to the first match time for the alternate's division. Be prepared to play - medical release form completed and method of payment. There will be a place for onsite alternates to sit until the last matches have gone on for the first round.
Should a position open up, alternates will be entered in the order of the names on the published ordered alternate list. There will be possible opportunities for entry on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday the time to report will be 30 minutes prior to first match times of the main draw. No on-sites will be put in for consolation matches.

Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline:
Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes.
Withdrawal After Entry Deadline:
Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your withdrawal. DO NOT call to withdraw. The email is maconten@bellsouth.net If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. There are No refunds after 6/6/14. Refunds will only be given with proper documentation and valid excuse and may take 6 weeks to process. See procedures below for receiving a refund.
Defaulting during the tournament:
You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament OR a visit with the onsite trainer will suffice.

Doubles registration will be online beginning Tuesday, June 10th and closing at 11:59PM on Friday, June 13th. Doubles play will begin on Sunday, June 15th. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR DOUBLES IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE DOUBLES TOURNAMENT. Alternates are encouraged to play doubles.The tournament ID for doubles is 703503614
We will take late entries for doubles until 10am Saturday.
Seeds will be posted by 2 pm Saturday.
Draws will be posted by 9 am Sunday.
Play for doubles will not begin before 1 pm Sunday.

THE DRAW SIZE IS 256, 160 boys and 160 girls will be endorsed from their state .

If you withdraw before registration closes, your credit card will not be charged.

If you withdraw after registration closes, you may be eligible for refund. A player shall not withdraw from a tournament after entries close except for illness, injury, or personal emergency. A withdrawing player shall immediately notify the Tournament by email that the player will not be playing.

If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament.
If the player is not playing because of a personal emergency, the player shall provide a written explanation of the situation to the Referee no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. The Referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal emergency. FYI - a personal emergency does not include "my parents can't get off work" or "I have a vacation planned."


In order to receive a refund, you must notify the tournament immediately of your withdrawal. Then, YOU MUST MAIL IN A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE with your medical excuse or emergency explanation. Please mail to Macon Tennis Association PO Box 7607 Macon, Georgia 31209. You must also include the exact "Payee" name the check is payable to. This must be received by the last day of the tournament which is 6/20/14.

You will receive suspension points if you do not have a documented medical excuse or a written explanation of a personal emergency.
Our best advice to you, is make sure you assess your means of travel and schedules before registration closes. Thank you for your cooperation.
