** SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD WINNERS **
Evan Song of Henderson, Navada won the sportsmanship award for the Boy's division and Mayo Hibi of Irvine, CA won the award for the Girls.
Both players showed that they can win with respect for their opponents and the sport of tennis and still
have a lot of fun.We admire your hard work, perserverence and sportsmanship. Congratulations and we wish you all the success!!

** SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS **
One Boy and one Girl will each receive a very special sportsmanship award , courtesey of the
BNP Parisbas Professional Tennis Tournament at the Indian Wells. Each Player will receive four box seat tickets for an evening session of their choice, valued at $ 750.00 per award. We wish to thank the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens and Ms. Margie Emerson for their generous donation.

** ON SITE ALTERNATES **
If you want to show up as an on-site alternate, You must show up at Palm Valley Country Club 1/2 hour before the first match starts on Saturday. Sign in and we will take players by order of the national standing list (Players who are already on the alternate list have priority over players who are not.)

** DOUBLES **
Please contact the tournament director via e-mail for doubles registration at gordontzawtun@verizon.net.. If you wish to play doubles you must sign up by Friday February 25 at 8:00 PM Pacific standard time. All first round doubles matches will start on Saturday February 26th.The Tournament Director is not responsible to match a player with a partner, but we will do our best to assist you. All doubles matches are an eight game pro set with a match tie break at 8-8.

** MANDATORY TOURNAMENT CHECK IN **
Mandatory means just that. All the Players must check in on Friday Feb.25th, at the Palm Valley Country Club between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. However, if you are not able to make it on Friday evening, please
inform me by e-mail and fax the USTA & MEDICAL RELEASE FORM in before Friday. Please check in at the Palm Valley Country Club on Saturday at least half hour before your first match.

** MEDICAL RELEASE WAIVER **
MAKE SURE TO USE THIS FORM - IT WILL SAVE MUCH TIME DURING CHECK IN.
Medical Release Forms have to be FULLY completed and signed by the PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN. Parents, please do not send your child without this form completed. Print it now to save time and frustration later. This form has to be completed and signed in order to check in.

** STRINGING SERVICES ***
There will be Experienced Stringers at the main tournament site during the event. Cost with your own string is $15. We also have a large string inventory if you do not have your own.

** PRACTICE COURTS / WARM UPS / HITTING PROS **
Rental courts for practice and hitting Pros are availabe at the following clubs. Please call each club directly.

** PRO SHOP **
The main tournament site,The Palm Valley Country Club has a Fully Stocked Pro Shop. The Palm Valley Country will have tournament discounts of 35% off regular priced clothing. Shoes, Racquets, Bags and other assesories will be 25% off.

** TRAINER **
There will be a certified sports trainer at the Palm Valley Country Club (the main tournament site) during the tournament. By law, trainers are not allowed to distribute any medicine, even to adults. Please bring your own Tylenol, Advil, Sinus Medicine, etc.
If you have an injury or illness, we strongly suggest that you see the trainer. If you need to withdraw due to injury or illness, the process will be much smoother if we have confirmation from the trainer. Without confirmation, you may incur suspension points for withdrawal. Remember you must withdraw in person to the Head Referee.

All the tournament sites are very close and they are no more than 10 to 15 minutes from each other.

** 2011 USTA NATIONAL OPEN CHANGES **
The USTA has adopted changes to national junior tournaments and rankings that will become effective January 1, 2011. These changes will impact all junior players who compete in national tournaments and who seek a national junior ranking. Below is a summary of the changes.

** USTA TOURNAMENT FORMAT & RULES **
Rules - USTA rules govern play. ALL MAIN DRAW SINGLES matches in all age divisions of Boys and Girls 14-18's will be best of 3 tiebreak sets. ALL CONSOLATION MATCHES in all age groups Boys and Girls 14-18's as well as ALL MAIN DRAW AND CONSOLATION SINGLES in BOYS AN GIRLS 12's will be best of 3 tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak (10 point) played in lieu of the third set. ALL DOUBLES will be 8-game pro-set with a match tiebreak (10-point) at 8 games all..

** LATE ENTRIES **
Players who sent an e-mail requesting that we take their entry past the deadline will be added to the alternates list once it has been officially posted.USTA National Jr. Competition regulations are clear in that a late entry go to the bottom of the alternates list regardless of a players ranking.
|

This tournament is held in the most beautiful resort city of
Palm Desert where the weather is always beautiful and the tennis
facilities are top notch!
4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 27, 2011 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
