Off-Site Matches
As long as you are fully-paid for your events , you need not check in first at Mission Hills if you are playing a first round match at a site other than Mission Hills. You can go directly to that site, where they will have the balls and match assignments.

WITHDRAWALS
As will happen in senior tennis, injuries force players to withdraw from competition. Please check your draw to make sure your opponent has not withdrawn. We will do our best to notify players when their opponents have notified us to withdraw/default but it is also helpful to check the draw prior to your match.

Practice Courts
The beautiful and newly-remodeled Tennis Center at Woodhaven Country Club has made a limited number of courts available for practice purposes to players in our tournament. These courts willl be available after 11AM. You may call the tennis desk at Woodhaven (760) 578-1218 to ask about availability and directions to the club. There will not be any available courts for practice at Mission Hills.

We continue to strive to make the Mission Hills USTA National Category II, the best senior tournament in the world. The tournament will have its two exceptional parties, gift bag, custom designed tournament shirt and hat for all.

TOURNAMENT RULES
Players are limited to 3 events, only 2 may be doubles. Depending on the draw size, some women's 60's and older, Men's 65's and older and our NEW event Mixed 70’s, may start play Sunday afternoon January 21. Proper tennis attire only - NO T-SHIRTS, PLEASE. The official ball will be the Wilson Championship ball. Due to our large draws, you may play some matches at another first-class facility.

TOURNAMENT LODGING
The tournament has secured special rates at the Plaza Resort and Vista Mirage Resort. The rates for Vista Mirage is $129 Sun-Thurs. and $169 Fri-Sat. Their telephone number is 760-320-5518.
The Plaza rates are $99 for a mini-suite Sun-Thurs and $109 Fri-Sat. For a 1 BR the rates are $109 Sun-Thurs. and $139 Fri-Sat. Their number is 760-324-1802.

ENTRY TYPE
Entry to this tournament is open to everyone. Entries must be submitted by Friday, December 31, 2006 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online. IF YOU REGISTER ONLINE FOR DOUBLES PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR DOUBLES PARTNERS USTA NUMBER AVAILABLE AS YOU MUST HAVE THAT TO REGISTER BOTH PLAYERS. Please check the applicants list after registering to ensure that both you and your partner are entered as a team.
