PLAYER MEETING AND REGISTRATION : IF YOU CANNOT BE AT MEETING DUE TO TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS, PLEASE FAX ME THE MEDICAL RELEASE TODAY...972-668-5255 ATTN: CHRISTI No players will be allowed to be on court without medical release turned in. The player meeting will be at Lakes Tennis Academy, 4000 Legacy, Frisco, Tx 75034, Friday, May 18th @ 7 PM cst. All players must check in for the tournament prior to playing their first match. Check in hours are Friday, May 18th from 4 - 7 pm. After the initial registration on Friday, players who have not checked in should be at the Lakes Tennis Academy on Saturday at 7am to check in upstairs.

From the Lakes Tennis Academy, take a right out of the parking lot, go north, to Lebanon. Take a right on Lebanon to Dallas Parkway. Take a right on Dallas Parkway and an immediate turnaround to the left. You will now be going north on the service road. Take a right at Lebanon and a left on Parkwood. Frisco High School courts are on the left side of Parkwood. Turn left into parking lot. There is a restroom on site. There will also be water and gatorade for sale at this site. There are covered bleachers. These 2 sites are about 5 minutes apart. In between your matches, please come to rest or cool off at the Lakes. We have a lounge with TV, and free wifi.

MEDICAL RELEASE: USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. NOTE: A PLAYER'S COACH OR OTHER ADULT WHO IS NOT HE LEGAL GUARDIAN MAY NOT SIGN THE FORM FOR THE PLAYER. The form will be at the end of the confirmation email a player receives when they have been accepted into the tournament. This email should be printed by the parent or guardian, signed and brought to the tournament or alternatively this form can be faxed to us (972-668-5255)attention to Christi Gossett, to speed up the check in process. PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON-COURT WITHOUT THIS SIGNED RELEASE! more info

ON SITE ALTERNATES On Site Alternates must inform the Referee in person they are on-site. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play.

WITHDRAWALS : All Withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by E-mail to christi@lakestennis.com to the attention of Christi Gossett. Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or a family emergency suspension points can be given to that player. Players withdrawing within 7 days of the tournament start date will not be refunded the entry fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR WITHDRAWALS AFTER SATURDAY 5/12/2007 12 Midnight cst.

ALTERNATES The Alternates by Event Report will be updated daily after entries close until the draws are posted. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot come. It is the alternates' responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change to being in the tournament. You should make sure your contact information is correct on your membership profile. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately, we accept Mastercard or Visa only. IF YOU ARE AN ALTERNATE, AND YOU HAVE ACCEPTED A SPOT IN ANOTHER NATIONAL OPEN, PLEASE CONTACT US AT christi@lakestennis.com, SO THAT WE CAN REMOVE YOU FROM OUR ALTERNATE LIST. Acceptance in a tournament does not automatically remove you from another tournament's Alternate list. You must contact the tournament director.

FORMAT AND SCORING Singles Draw size will be 64 with a Feed-In Championship through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Singles Main Draw and Singles Feed in Championship will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Only the top three (3) finishers qualify for the National Clay Court Championships. Doubles Draws will be a 32 single elimination with 3/4 playoff. Alternates who do not get into singles will be eligible to play doubles, space permitting. Doubles will play 8 game Pro Set with a 10 point match tie break at 8 games all. On-line doubles registration is preferred; however, for the players’ convenience, sign-up for doubles shall remain open until noon onThursday May 17th, and may be done by email or fax. Players without a designated partner will be paired with another player. Doubles play will begin on Saturday, May 19th. The champions and finalists qualify for the National Clay Court Championships. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

Balls Wilson balls will be used. New balls will be furnished for the third set in the main draw.

DRESS CODE Boys - No tank tops allowed, Girls - No bare midriffs allowed

PRACTICE COURTS and WARM-UP DRILLS Practice courts will be available from 4-9PM Friday night at Lakes Tennis Academy. Please call in advance to reserve a court. Sites and practice courts : 8 practice courts will be available Saturday morning at 7am at the Lakes Tennis Academy and Frisco High School. (6 courts)

1. Top 224 players applying from the latest USTA/National Standing List (Boys' or Girls' 14 singles) 2. Top 32 players ranked 200 or better applying from the USTA/National Standing List (Boys' or Girls 12 singles) 3. Remaining vacancies are filled by registered players from the USTA/National Standing List (Boys' or Girls' 14 Singles). 4. Remaining vacancies are filled by registered players from the USTA/National Standing List (Boys' or Girls' 12 Singles). Selections should be posted by May 5th, 2007. The names of players who have been selected appear as 'Competitors'.

Level 2

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.
