*CANCELED* USTA Boys' 16 National Championships

July 13 - The USTA National Championships have been cancelled due to the concern of the COVID-19 virus

June 15 - The Boys and Girls 16s and 18s divisions of the USTA National Championships will be held as scheduled. The 12s an 14s age divisions have been canceled. In order to maximize safety and reduce potential exposure to Covid-19 for players, their families and tournament staff and officials, some adjustments to the tournament format have been put into place.

The Boys’ 16 division will be played in Mobile, AL and the Girls’ 16 division will be played in Rome, GA. Draw sizes are reduced to 128 (please view “Player Selection” tab for more information about the adjusted player selection process for a 128 draw. Information on the consolations and doubles formats will be confirmed at a later date.

The events will adhere to a comprehensive safety plan that includes enhanced sanitization measures and mandatory face coverings with the exception of on-court players and officials. Players will be limited to one guest and the events will have no additional spectators.
In the weeks to come, more information will be announced regarding seeding criteria, merit-based wild cards, player registration, safety procedures and much more!

May 27: Registration for The National Championships will not open prior to June 16th.

April 22: The National Championships are currently scheduled to be played. Due to the constantly changing circumstances with the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a possibility that the events may be canceled. Consequently, we recommend that players and families do not yet make travel arrangements (book flights, etc) so that no costs are incurred in the event that the tournament is canceled. Player, Guest, and Spectator Rules
Players may have only one guest accompany them on-site. Players and guests will be given credentials that must be shown upon entry of the facility.
Additional spectators, including college coaches, will not be permitted on-site.


Arrival and Departure from Tournament Site
Players and guests may arrive on-site no sooner than 60 minutes minutes prior to their match and must depart within 30 minutes of the completion of their match.
Safety Policy and Procedure
The tournament will adhere to a comprehensive safety plan that includes enhanced sanitizing measures and mandatory face coverings, with the exception of on-court players and officials. The health and safety protocols were developed in conjunction with the USTA Medical Advisory Group and comply with local and state agencies governing each of the four tournament sites.
Match Formats
Main Draw Singles (including playoff for 3rd & 4th place): best of 3 tiebreak sets, regular scoring
Feed-In Consolation: best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set, regular scoring
Doubles: best of 3 tiebreak sets shall be used in the semifinal, final, and playoff for 3rd place with no-ad scoring. All other doubles matches shall use the best of 3 Tiebreak sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set; no-ad scoring.
Merit Based Wildcards
The Boys and Girls’ 18s singles champions will receive a US Open singles main draw wildcard. Other merit based wildcards are TBD.
Doubles Registration
Players must submit doubles pairing by August 6 to tennismobile@gmail.com. Emails by BOTH players MUST be sent to process the team. Last-minute changes will only be accepted for last-minute alternates and withdrawals. Per USTA rules, the tournament staff cannot give out player/parent contact information.
Media Requests
Members of the media must contact tennismobile@gmail.com by August 3 to request approval for on-site access.

If you email to withdraw after registration closes but before selections are finalized, you will be charged if selected and there will be no refund. The selection process is automated and starts as soon as registration closes.
