SUNDAY WEATHER UPDATES (9:45 A.M.)
9:45 A.M. Most of the courts are dry except for the south 10 feet. We are using blowers and fans to help these areas. IF NO MORE RAIN WE ANTICIPATE BEING ABLE TO PLAY AT 11 AM. ALL MAINDRAW QUARTER FINAL MATCHES ARE NOW SCHEDULED AT 11 A.M. ALL CONSOLATION MATCHES WILL BE NOT BEFORE 12:30. DOUBLES WILL BE NOT BEFORE 4:00 PM. PLEASE CONTINUE TO CHECK THIS SITE FOR UPDATES. There have been some players pulling out so please check the draws for updates.

Mandatory Check-in
All Players must turn in a signed USTA medical
waiver and a signed Claremont Club waiver at player check-in. All check in is at the Claremont Club. Player check-in will be open from 7:05 am-11:30 am on Saturday February 8,2020. All players MUST check -in during this time. All Players must check-in prior to their first match. This includes players who may have a first
match start time after 11:30 am, Including any players who have first round matches scheduled the alternate site Bizsantz Family Tennis Center (BFTC) at The Claremont Colleges. Please
leave enough time to check-in prior to your first match. It will really speed up the check in process if players arrive with the USTA and Claremont Club waivers already filled out. You may email a scanned copy of these waivers, but everyone must still show up in person during the check-in time designated above.

Tournament Schedule
Saturday February 8 weather permitting most first matches will begin at approximately 8:30 am. Some First round doubles matches will be scheduled at 8:00 A.M. Please continue to check this site for any changes weather related as well as last minute withdraws: The order of matches will be as follows: First round of doubles, Main draw first round of singles, main draw second round of singles and consolation singles first round. We anticipate finishing last matches at approximately 7 pm. The exact schedule and order of play is subject to change. Players should check the draws on this web site every evening to verify exact times and locations of matches
Sunday February 9: 8 am approximate tournament start time weather permitting. Priority Order of play: (1) All divisions Main draw singles quarter finals, and semi finals, then quarter final play-off draw 2) Main draw doubles quarter finals and semi finals (3), consolation rounds finals Matches should finish around 7 pm. ON SITE ALTERNATES: ALL WITHDRAWS AFTER 5 PM 2/7/2020 WILL BE REPLACED WITH ON SITE ALTERNATES
All on site alternates for all divisions must sign in at The Claremont Club 15 minutes prior to the first match played in the division for which they are signing up. The priority for on site alternates is the same as the regular alternate list.

Practice Cts
Practice courts will be available at The Claremont Club on a first come first serve basis: Friday 2/7/2020 11 am-5 pm, Saturday 7 am-8 am. Sunday 7 am-8:30 am. There is no charge for practice courts.

Tournament Hotel
The Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel is the designated tournament hotel. A special tournament link as been created. You can access the site to learn more about the hotel by clicking on more info. The hotel is approximately 12 minutes from the Claremont Club and 5 minutes from the airport. The cut-off date for this rate is January 20,2020. If you call the hotel the room block is under "National L2 February 2020"

SITES
The main tournament site is The Claremont Club (TCC on the Draw) 1777 Monte Vista Ave Claremont, Ca 91711.Alternate site Biszantz Family Tennis Center. (BFTC) It is the Claremont-Mudd-Scrips college tennis ourts. The courts are on 6th street just West of Claremont Blvd. Alternate Site Pomona- Pitzer- College ( PPC on the Draw). Pomona Pitzer is less than 1 mile from the Claremont Club. The courts are located at 6th and Mills in Claremont. There is street parking on Mills. The entrance to the courts is on Mills just south of 6th street.

Match Format
Boys and Girls 12's and 14's all singles matches main draw and feed in consolation will be best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. ALL CONSOLATION MATCHES ARE MANDATORY All Doubles matches in all divisions will be an 8 game pro set no add scoring with a 7-point tiebreak at 7 games all.

NO 7th/8th play-ff
There is no play-off for 7/8th place in the singles even though it shows up on the draw. Once you have lost twice you are out of the tournament. There are consolation semi and finals matches, 5/6 play-off and 3/4 play-off. There is a 3/4 play-off for doubles.

Draws Posted
The singles draws should be posted on Thursday February 6, 2020. The doubles draws will be posted late Thursday evening or early Friday morning. All first round doubles matches will be scheduled before singles matches on Saturday February 8, 2020. This is subject to change.

Racket stringing
Racket Stringing is available at The Claremont Club. All effort will be made to have a quick turn over on racket stringing and have rackets ready for the next days matches. Depending on volume of rackets there may be a 24 hours turn over for restringing.

Tennis Ball
Boys divisions: The Wilson US Open xtra Duty tennis ball will be used for all matches. Girls divisions the Wilson US Open regular duty tennis ball will be used for all matches.

DRESS CODE
All USTA sanctioned events expect proper tennis attire at all times. This means no sports bras compression shorts or tights are to be worn alone, midriff must be covered when arms are at rest, and spandex must be covered by additional shorts or skirt. No cut-off t-shirts or shorts. Sleeveless tennis shirts may be worn. No reference to drugs, violence, alcohol, or foul language may be depicted on player attire.

It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration.
