DRAWS ARE POSTED, HERE'S HOW TO CHECK YOUR DRAWS
To check your draw, please click on "DRAWS" and find your player's name in his/her age group draw. Please note that there are multiple draws that are named after colors. (the color names are random and have no significance). Once you have found your child's name in the draw, please print the draw sheet or carefully note the time and location of his/her first round match. Please check your child's match time carefully and arrive at least 30 minutes before your child's scheduled match time.

PARENT/PLAYER REMINDERS
The Tournament Committee recommends that you check your child's draw again on Friday night (March 4)--just to make sure you have read everything correctly and that there have been no changes to your child's draw (such as a player withdrawal). To ensure a smooth running tournament, your child should check in for his/her first round match site a minimum of 30 minutes before the scheduled match time. Players are responsible for arriving on time and at the correct playing site--no exceptions
|
Please check in thirty minutes before your match time at your playing site.

Detailed Overrule Guideline for Texas:
After the second overrule in a match, an
official should caution a player at that time that future overrules will be
penalized under the Point Penalty System. Future overrules MUST be
penalized after a player has been cautioned. This guideline will go into effect
on 12/1/2014.

|
10 & Under – USTA Texas regulations mandate that all junior sanctioned tournaments offer 10 & Under Orange Ball Division (orange ball, 60 foot court and 25 inch racquet) and 10 & Under Green Ball Division (green ball, 78 foot court and 27 inch racquet). For the full 10 & under regulation, please visit our website www.texas.usta.com, click on 10 & Under Tennis.
|
First-off Consolation – All Challengers and CMZs use the First Off Consolation Format. This format will show as Single Elimination on the tournament homepage, but all players are guaranteed two matches. This format eliminates “maybe matches” and almost every player in consolation will play their first consolation match on Saturday. How does it work? Players that lose in the main draw will be fed into the consolation draw in the order that they come off the court (i.e. the first player to come off the court will go on line one, the sixth player to come off the court will go on line six). This new format ensures more players playing on Saturday and an overall better tournament.
|
Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.
