Doubles Draw and Schedule
All 1st round doubles will play Friday 8:00 AM. We will make doubles draw as soon as we have matched all doubles partners together.

DOUBLES
We will extend the doubles entry deadline until after the Freeze Deadline. Please e-mail usta@giammalva.com if you want to play in the doubles. Please also let us know if you have a partner or if you want us to help you find a partner. We can not guarantee but will make every effort to find you a partner.

TOURNAMENT WORKOUT AND DRILLS
We are offering a Thursday afternoon drill from 4:00 - 6:00 with Giammalva Elite Academy Staff and Pros in a 4 to 1 pro/student ratio or less. Cost is $60 for the drill. Please e-mail Victor Pinones-Haltenhoff if you plan to attend the drill at victor@giammalva.com. Please check out the Giammalva Elite website at www.giammalvaelite.com. Our Academy offers a full time program with housing and education options.
We also have pros available for private lessons or hit.

PRACTICE COURTS
We will have practice courts on Thursday November 27th from 4:00 - 6:00. Please call our pro shop by Wednesday at 281-370-5801 and let us know you will be coming out to practice. It is a first come, first serve basis, and we will not charge for practice courts.
We will also have practice courts at Raveneaux Country Club during the weekend. Raveneaux is located at 9415 Cypresswood and is within 5 - 10 minutes of Giammalva Racquet Club. Raveneaux is saving 4 courts for us during the tournament for those looking for more practice outside the tournament.

TOURNAMENT BALL
We are using Wilson US Open Extra-Duty Felt ball for all matches. We will give 3 balls for all matches, and third set when played out in full.

DRAW SIZES AND MATCH FORMAT
Draw Sizes All singles draws shall be 64 players. Doubles draw
shall be 32 team maximum. Match Format All main draws (and 3rd and 4th
place playoff) shall be 2 out of 3 sets with 10 pt. tiebreak in lieu 3rd. All Feed In Consolation
Matches: Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a 10 point TB in lieu of a 3rd Doubles Matches: 8 Game Pro Set with a 7 point tiebreak at 8 games
all. Singlee Feed In Consolation Information All singles draws will
have a feed in consolation that feeds players through the round of 16. The
quarterfinal losers will be fed into a separate draw to playoff for 5th and 6th
place. The FIC must be played to completion. The FIC is considered part of the
tournament and participation is mandatory for all singles main draw players.??? Singles
and Doubles 3rd-4th Place Playoffs Required All singles and doubles draws
shall have a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. All players are required to play
the 3rd-4th place playoff.

AIRPORT
We
recommend flying into Bush Intercontinental Airport. It is located
30 minutes from our tournament site.

ON SITE FOOD
We have many restaurants located around the club. Unfortunately, our restaurant and snack bar will be closed Thanksgiving weekend.
We will have complimentary coffee, bananas, chocolate milk and other items at various times of the day.

ON SITE STRINGING
We have a certified instructor on site, and can offer a quick turn around. We charge $14/labor for each racquet.

SCHEDULE OF PLAY
SCHEDULE OF PLAY The Main Draw and 3/4 Playoff will be best of 3 sets. The Feed in Consolation and Quarterfinal Consolation Draw will be best of 3 with a Match Tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. Doubles will be single elimination with a 3/4 playoff. All Doubles matches will play 8 Game Prosets. Day 1 is scheduled to play round of 64 and 32 in the main draw/ consolation will play round 1. Day 1 doubles will play round of 32. Day 2 is scheduled to play round of 16 in the main draw/ consolation will play round 2 and 3. Day 2 doubles will play round of 16 and the quarters. Day 3 is scheduled to play the quarters and semis in the main draw / consolation will play round of 16 and quarters. Day 3 doubles will play semis. Day 4 is scheduled to play the finals and 3/4 playoff in the main draw / consolation will play semis and finals. Quarterfinal consolation will play round 1 and 5/6 th place. Day 4 doubles will play Finals and 3/4 playoff.
