Seeds / Draws and Match Times
Seeds have been published. We will make the Draw on Sunday Nov. 18th. First Match Times will be published on Tues. Nov. 20. The draw will be published on Wed. Nov. 21st.
Play will start with singles each morning at 9am. All matches will be played at NTC.

Doubles Reminder
Don't wait until the final weekend to ask for help finding a partner. The final list will go out on Friday afternoon Nov. 16th. Your options will be limited over the weekend as I will not be around to accept requests or send another list. Make your request for help this week. The deadline for submitting a confirmed partner is Noon on Sunday Nov. 18th.

Doubles
We will start Doubles on the first day after two rounds of Main draw singles and one round of consolation. You must have a partner by NOON Sunday Nov. 18th and have confirmed your partnership. Follow the directions below to help you find or confirm a parnter. We will not give out individual information or pair players, you must follow the directions or find a partner on your own. Doubles Instructions
DOUBLES SIGNUP DEADLINE: Noon, Sunday, November 18. Don't wait until the last minute to start looking for a partner.th
You must have a doubles partner at the doubles deadline. Please follow the direction listed below to confirm your doubles partnership or obtain contact information for other players who do not have a partner.

Written Notification Requirements for Withdrawals
In order for a withdrawal to be bona fide and, if after the draw is made or after play starts, coded as “Withdrawal” or “Walkover” on the draw sheet, the player must fulfill the following written verification requirements:
Injury or Illness Written Verification Requirement: If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall deliver written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional to the Referee no later that the last scheduled day of the tournament. If a tournament has a trainer on site, it is recommended that the trainer be asked provide the written verification on site before the player leaves the tournament.
Personal Circumstance Written Verification Requirement: If the player is not playing because of a personal circumstance, the player shall deliver a written deion of the situation no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament and the Referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal circumstance.

Warm up with local Pro
If players are interested in a warm up session please contact NTC 706-821-1600. We are arranging group and private warm ups. Friday 7:45am to 8:45am for grouip Private will be scheduled for later times. Players must call to sign up.

Player Check in / Player Meeting / Thanksgiving Day Practice
The tournament will start Friday Nov. 23th and end on Sunday the 25th. Thanksgiving day is Nov. 22nd and Newman Tennis Center will be open from 2pm to 6pm for practice. On Thur. Nov. 22th Early Check in will be from 5 to 6pm . We will have a player information meeting at 8am and 9:30am, Players are responsible to abide by all the information covered.
Girls meeting is at 8am
Boys meeting is at 9:30am

Schedule of Play
On the first day we will play 2 rounds of Main Draw singles and 1 round of Consolation singles, followed by 2 round of doubles. On day 2 we will play 2 Main Draw singles and 2 consolation singles followed by 1 rounds of doubles.

Answers to Questions about alternate list
We will contact the players in order as listed on the Alternate List.
When we have a withdraw from the Draw we will contact you. if we do not have a phone number or an e-mail that we can reach we will skip your name.
When we call a player to offer them the opportunity to play they may decline with no penalty.
If you decide to attend, we will require a CC number, expiration date, and the name on the card.
Late entries
We will accept Late entries but they will be placed at the end of the alternate list of player that entered prior to the deadline. If we were to call you after the seeds are published and you are seedable we will not be able to accept your entry.

REFUNDS / Withdrawing from the Main Draw or Alternates List
If you are withdrawing from the Draw please send an e-mail to the TD ASAP.
If you are on the alternates list and want to enter another tournament you must withdraw from this tournament (this will eilminate parents contacting me about other players that are in two tournaments). If you are on an alternates list your are committed to that tournament, thus you must withdraw.
REFUNDS: If you are in the Draw and withdraw prior to the draw being made (Noon on Friday Nov. 16th) you will receive a full refund. After that time and date there will be no refund. If you are on the alternate list you have not been charged for the tournament.

Medical Release
A Medical Release is now REQUIRED prior to playing any matches. Parent or guardian MUST SIGN. Please click on more info to download this form and bring it with you to registration. You can find the form at www.gatennis.com under Junior Competitive Tennis.

Dress Code
The Tournament committee has set A dress code in this Tournament The Rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
Proper tennis attire should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. For males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. Failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS) being assessed .

Traveling to Augusta by Air
If you decide to fly to the tournament and are looking for airports, please consider flying directly into Augusta or using the Columbia, SC airports.

Number of player in the Nov. National Open/ Selection Notice/ Seeding
The individual draws are 32 in singles but there are 4 draws around the country (128 total players), more than 32 will sign up for individual sites but only 32 will be selected at each site. The remainder will be placed on an alternate list based on where the players said they would play and the alternates would be called if someone withdraws at one of those sites. If players (families) are willing to travel they have a better chance of getting into one of the draws. >br?
The selections will be completed early next week. We will be notified by National and then each tournament will publish the list for their site, along with the alternate list. We will use the Nov.24 th National Standings for Seeding.

Withdrawing from a match or Tournament/Refund Policy (Weather)
A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a match or tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal emergency. A player who cannot play a match shall notify the Referee at once so that the opponent may be saved a trip. A player who withdraws from a tournament is not entitled to the return of the entry fee unless the player withdrew prior to the published refund deadline date.
In the event of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this tournament you are entitled to a partial refund based on the fixed tournament expenses. Please understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include: Trophies, T-shirts, Balls, USTA Officials, and many other costs that we must cover. The tennislink portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance with USTA policy. If you do complete a match there is no refund/credit. Thank you for your understanding.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event

It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration.
