Friday doubles times and Saturday singles times have been posted. There may be some late doubles Saturday if some courts open up. There will be no consolations Saturday. We appreciate your patience and understanding with the long times in between some matches. We have not been able to secure any other courts due to COVID restrictions in this area, but will do our best to maximize play. Seeds based on Southern Standings 11/3/2020. Site Information and Schedule
This tournament will be played at GPS only. The address is 600 River Street, Chattanooga, Tn 37405. We will be using both outdoor and indoor courts. Doubles will begin Friday night at 5:00pm Eastern time. We will play a pro set no ad scoring, tie break at 8-8. 10's will play one set to 6 no ad tie break at 6-6. Singles will begin at 8:00am Saturday morning. Singles will be 2 out of 3 tie break sets, with a match tie break in lieu of the 3rd set. Due to the large draws we will be playing NO AD scoring for singles also. In the event of inclement weather (and forced indoor play) short scoring to 4 will be used, no ad. Please note we cannot use other indoor courts in town. Some consolations may not finish. Play will conclude on Sunday evening.

Player Check In and Rules
PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR UNTIL YOUR MATCH IS CALLED! 8:00AM MATCHES WILL BE CALLED AT 7:45AM TO ALLOW FOR EXTRA WARM UP TIME. AFTER YOUR MATCH SUBMIT YOUR SCORES ASAP SO WE KNOW THE COURT IS OPEN. ONLY ONE PERSON CAN CHANGE THE SCORECARD AT A TIME- CHANGE YOUR OWN SCORE. WEAR YOUR MASK ON TO THE COURT. TOSS FOR SERVE/END ETC AT THE BEGINNING AND THEN REMOVE YOUR MASK TO WARM UP. STAY 6 FEET APART AT ALL TIMES. DO NOT SHAKE HANDS- BUMP RACQUETS. USE YOUR HAND SANITIZER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. COLLECT ALL YOUR BELONGINGS - THERE WILL BE NO LOST AND FOUND.

SPECTATORS-
Please note we have limitations on the number of spectators, so do NOT bring extended family. Spectators and players will have to answer screening questions and have their temperature taken before entering the courts. Please wear your masks and socially distance- stay 6 feet apart! 45 spectators may be outside and only 15 indoors. Hand sanitizer will be available. Stay away from others outside your own family. We will be asking people to leave if the guidelines are not adhered to. COVID-19 Safety Protocols-All players and spectators please bring water, ice, food and personal scoring device (or paper/pencil) to the court. Spectators need to wear a mask, bring chairs, food and refreshments. It is recommended that you have gloves, hand sanitizer and an umbrella for shade. Please make sure that your phones are charged and usable for the virtual tournament desk. No gatherings are permitted.

Practice Courts- Please read entirely
Practice courts are available from 4:00pm Friday if the players have checked in on the match tennis app and completed covid protocols. We have some indoor courts available for doubles matches at 5:00pm if anyone is wanting to play before their scheduled time. Please e-mail the tournament director regarding this.
Players may warm up at from 7:15 am on Saturday if they have an 8:00am match. Covid protocols will be observed before entering the courts. .THERE WILL BE NO WARM UP COURTS AVAILABLE AFTER THE FIRST MATCHES GO ON AT GPS. Courts are available at Warner Park (301 N. Holtclaw, 37404), Champions Club(1096 Lupton Drive,37415), and Redbank (3801 Redding Road, 37415 off Dayton Blvd).

Hotels
GPS is located downtown so all hotels in that area are approximately 5 minutes from the courts. Other hotels - Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn are near Northgate Mall.

Draw Sizes will be LIMITED! Singles will be a 16 player draw and Doubles an 8 team draw in each division
Due to continuing limitations in the Chattanooga area for number of participants in an activity, this Tennessee Open will allow only 16 players per singles event and 8 teams per doubles event. Players and teams will be selected based on their Southern ranking. Players Must have register with a partner to be considered for Doubles selection.

Order of Entries into available draws/ alternate removal
Due to some draws being being full. Players who entered the tournament, but did not get into their age group are being offered a chance to play up before any late entries are being accepted. The deadline for applying to move up is 9:00am Eastern on Tuesday morning. We should have all selections done by tomorrow. If you are an alternate and wish to withdraw from the list, please e-mail asap.

Refunds
There will be no refunds after the draw has been posted.

This is a Tennessee Level 2 and Southern Level 4.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, November 1, 2020 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
