USTA/MIDWEST SAFETY COVID PROCEDURES
The COVID-19 procedures and policies in place by the USTA/Midwest Section for this event are as follows: * First and foremost, if you are not feeling well, please withdraw from the event. If you are a spectator and not feeling well, please stay home. * Player +1 for the entire event. Only one person is going to be allowed with each player. * The water fountains will not be accessible for the duration of the event. Please bring plenty of water for matches. * Social distancing will be strongly encouraged in addition to wearing a face mask. * We encourage bringing your own chair to watch any matches outdoors. * Do not enter the facility until 10-15 minutes before your scheduled match time. * There will be no handshakes at the conclusion of matches. * Once match results have been turned in, we request you leave the facility immediately. Only players are to approach the tournament desk. Please keep a safe distance when doing so. * All tournament staff will be wearing masks.

Important USTA 2021 Changes
The USTA will be launching a new, simplified nationwide junior tournament competitive structure in January, 2021. These changes will create a standardized system that will drive greater consistency for our players, parents, coaches, tournament directors and officials. These changes will help better address the needs of all our constituents with the goals of driving growth in USTA Junior Tournaments. PLAYER SELECTION & SEEDING
This tournament will use a combination of USTA/Midwest Points Per Round and Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for player selection and seeding. Players will be selected for the tournament in the following order: 1 - 44 Players based on the most recent USTA/Midwest Standings List in the age division of the tournament 2 - 20 Players based on UTR Players will be seeded for the tournament in the following order: All 16 seeds are done using UTR. WITHDRAW POLICY AFTER SELECTION IS MODIFIED AT THIS EVENT
The rule at
USTA Midwest tournaments there are no refunds after selections. In this
case, you may withdraw up to two days after selections with no penalty
and with a refund. After this, withdrawn players will not be refunded.

CHANGED MATCH SCORING/DRAW SIZE/NO DOUBLES
Due to current COVID rules in Michigan, no indoor courts will be utilized for play unless the state Governor revises her policy prior to the event. The format has been changed for this event: 64 Modified Feed In Consolation to the Round of 16 , Quarter Final players who do not win go into a separate draw. All matches are best of three tie-break sets with a 10-point tie-breaker in lieu of a 3rd set. NO DOUBLES

FORMAT CHANGES IF INCLEMENT WEATHER OCCURS
Every effort will be made to complete the entire tournament. If this is not possible, we will follow this procedure: *Scoring will be shortened to 2/3 Short Sets, with Ad, first to 4 games win by 1. At 3-3 a set tiebreaker will be played
Cancellation of draws: *Priority will be given to the Main Draw We will be moving backwards in the Consolation Draws in this order: *First Cancellation- Round of 64/32 *Second- Round of 16 *Third- Quarters *Last- 3/4 Playoff

SATURDAY - 3 rounds of main draw and 2 round of consolation singles. SUNDAY - 2-3 rounds of main draw and 3 rounds of consolation singles. MONDAY - 1 rounds main draws and 1-2 rounds consolation singles Schedule is subject to change based on weather.

TOURNAMENT FEES
1) If your credit card has been declined, please contact the tournament director immediately. You have until noon Monday to pay the entry fee. The tournament director has the option to withdraw you from the competitors list if you have not communicated with them. 2) No refunds after player selection.
