To All Competitors: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are
offering a full refund of the entry fees or a full credit to another one of our
tournaments. You can receive this refund in one of two ways: a full credit into
another one of our tournaments or a monetary payment. Please email your choice

Coronavirus tournament policy
During the month of March, USTA Southern Junior Tennis Tournament Dept. has adopted short term policies. These policies are: The tournament staff will monitor the CountyHealth guidlines and CDC daily. Players can withdraw without penalty up until the draw has been made. Sites will do their best to sanitize common areas and provide hand sanitizer. Players should refrain from handshakes at the conclusion of matches, a light racquet tap is suggested instead.

Welcome!
This is an
advanced-level tournament sanctioned by USTA Georgia as a Level 3 (Southern
Level 3 points). Registration must be completed online. Players may register
for two age divisions. Players will automatically be selected for the older age
division.
Boys
and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court
with yellow balls.
Boys
and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for green
balls in Youth
Progression will play on a full court with green dot balls.
Player selection
This tournament is
open for junior players regardless of ranking. You will receive an automated
email if your player is selected and your credit card is charged. USTA Southern
standings will be used for seeding and selections. Selections will be made by the
Southern Office.
Late Entrants
The USTA Southern
late entry policy will be followed and is stated below.
Draws
Draws will be
published by Thursday at 3 pm. It is your responsibility to check this
tournament web page for the players draws, match times and any other updates.
Draw size: Singles: 32 draw; Doubles: 16 draw. Single draws will be divided
into two balanced draws of 16 unless the division has less than 24 players.
Format
For all USTA
Southern 10 and Under, Level 1-3 tournament play (not including Jr. Team
Tennis), the required scoring format for singles matches, shall be the best of
two short sets (first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first
to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to
seven (7) and win by two) for the third set. No-ad scoring.
Scoring for BG 12-18
- Main Draw and Consolation (FIC): Best of 2 sets with a 10 pt. Match
tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. Consolation finals may not be played.
Doubles - All
doubles players must play in the same age division as they do in singles. BG
12-18 - 6 game set with a 7 point set tiebreak at 6 all. Ad scoring. BG 10 - 6
game set with a 7 point set tiebreak at 6 all. No-ad scoring.
Withdrawals and Refund Policy
Before the deadline,
withdraw through TennisLink. After the deadline, email the tournament director.
Refunds are only available for players who do not complete a match due to
inclement weather or cancellation of the tournament. If there is a refund, it would
be minus the fixed costs of the tournament. Note: the TennisLink fee is
non-refundable.

Scoring Format
Singles: Main Draw & Consolation B/G 12's-18's Best of three tiebreak sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. B/G 10's All Draws. Best 2 of 3 short sets with a 7-Point Match Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. When at 4-all a set tiebreak is played. No-Ad Scoring. Doubles B/G 12's -18's 6-game set with a set tiebreak at 6-all and ad-scoring. All doubles players must play in same division as they do in singles. B/G 10's 6-game set with a set tiebreak at 6-all and no-ad scoring.

Southern Orange Ball 10 & Under Changes
Please note that starting January 2020 USTA Southern’s Youth Progression has changed from offering 2 levels of Orange ball to only one level of Orange ball - Orange Level 1. ATION - READ CAREFULLY
Registration Deadline & Playing Time: Doubles registration will close on Wednesday at 12:00 pm. Doubles play will begin Friday at 5:00 pm - two rounds of play for some divisions.
Doubles Partnership Confirmation & Pairing Requests: 1. Doubles players must email the Tournament Director with their partner if both players do not register online
(i.e. if only one player has selected their partner online then both
players need to send an email confirming the partnership). If we do
not receive an email from both players the team will not be entered in
the draw. 2.
If you wish to be paired "blindly" with someone, please send an email

Standing List of the division of the tournament; players will no longer be

PLAYING FORMAT AND SCORING
BG12-18s
All Singles draws will play the best two out of three tie-break
sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third set, with a Full Feed in
Consolation through the Quarterfinals and 3/4 playoff. The Finals
of the Consolation Draw will not be scheduled and will not be played. BG10s: Boys and Girls 10's will play on the regular 78' court, using
Green Ball. The required scoring format for 10's singles matches shall be the
best of two short sets with no-ad scoring (first to four (4) and win by two),
with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and
a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third
set.

ALTERNATES
Alternate’s List: The alternate list will be updated daily after
selections are made. Once posted, it will be listed above - "Alternate by
Event" list. If you plan to enter another tournament, you have to first
e-mail the Tournament Director to take your name off the alternate list.
On Site Alternates must register at their age group's tournament
site. You must inform the Tournament Referee on Thursday night or before that
you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact
information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will
be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be
on-site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the
first match in the first round (or 2nd round if there are Byes).

WEATHER/REFUNDS
In the event of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this
tournament you are entitled to a partial refund based on the fixed tournament
expenses. Please understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include:
Trophies, T-shirts, Balls, USTA Officials, and many other costs that we must
cover. The Tennislink portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance
with USTA policy. If you do complete a match, there is no refund/credit. Thank
you for your understanding.

DRESS CODE
The Tournament
committee has set a dress code for this Tournament, the rules to which all
participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community
standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites
used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required
of all participants, coaches and family at all times. Proper tennis
attire should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down
waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or
shorts. For males, proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless
shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to our

DOUBLES USTA SOUTHERN REQUIRES PLAYERS TO PLAY THE SAME AGE DIVISION IN BOTH SINGLES AND DOUBLES. Registering for doubles without a partner gives you the opportunity to let others know you are interested and looking for a doubles partner. When registering without a partner you have the added responsibility to notify the tournament director if you find a partner or if you want to withdraw before the deadline. We will do our best to randomly pair players without partners. This can only be done if there is an even number of players.

FRIDAY SCHEDULE OF PLAY: Two rounds of doubles maybe played depending on size of the draws.

Waterfall process for splitting competitors 32 players will be selected for each event and then split into two draws of 16 players using the waterfall system selection. If a draw has 23 players or less, then a single 32 draw will be played with the feed in through the quarterfinals. Seeding will be made prior to the players being spit. The 32 players will be split as follows: Red draw: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32 White draw: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31

Entering two divisions Players are allowed to enter two divisions in the Southern Levels 1A, 2 and 3 tournaments. 1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. 2. Players are not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to player the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the alternates list in the other division. 3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. 4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
