BE SAFE. 2. If you are sick with any symptoms at ALL, DO NOT ATTEND OR PLAY A MATCH!I Ultimately, however, it is up to each player and/or parent to decide whether to participate in any event. Further, every player is expected to take all reasonable precautions to protect themselves from the risk of exposure.
The following requirements are in place for all players and parents at this tournament in order to make it as safe as possible for everyone: >Participant has not traveled out of the country in the 14 days prior to the tournament. >Participant has not been experiencing a cough, difficulty breathing or a loss in taste/smell at the start of the tournament. >Participant does not have a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or above at the start of the tournament. >Participant has not been in contact with anyone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to the tournament. >Participant agrees to not participate in the tournament if they become sick at the start of the tournament. >Participant agrees to exit the facility immediately upon completion of their match and reporting of their scores. >Participant agrees to maintain a six-foot distance from all other persons at the tennis center, except when they are competing in a match. >Participant agrees NOT to use the facility’s water fountains and ice machine. >Southern now requires masks for all participants and spectators when at the tennis center and not competing in a match. >Should inclement weather delay match play, participant agrees to shelter in their vehicle, NOT in the tennis center building. >As a parent of a participant, I agree to abide by the same restrictions as noted above for the participants. >As a parent of a participant, I understand that my child’s temperature may be taken if they begin to show signs of illness during the tournament, and I must pick them up immediately if their temperature is 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or above.

What you should bring to the tournament: Southern now REQUIRES MASKS for all participants & spectators when at the tennis center & not competing in a match.<
>Westgate Tennis Center is known for its hospitality under normal tournament circumstances. However, in response to the COVID-19 social distancing requirements and to be consistent with the other Southern Level 2 tournaments, players will not receive a t-shirt or lunches. Nor will they be allowed to sit under the on-court shade shelters. Basically, it's 'check-in/play match/report score/leave' tennis. >Players must bring everything they will need including their own water, sports drinks, food, ice, and towels. There will be no water on the courts and you will not have access to the drinking fountains or ice machine. >PREFER PLAYER PLUS ONE ATTENDANCE ~ MAX OF PLUS TWO. Items that players and their chaperone should bring for safety and distancing: YOUR OWN SEATING, UMBRELLAS FOR SHADE, disinfecting wipes and spray, hand sanitizer, and masks. THERE ARE NO CHAIRS ON SITE. >Players must bring A BROWN SHARPIE AND A BLACK SHARPIE. At the beginning of the match, the official on court will open two cans of balls, one for each player. Each player will mark their own tennis balls with the agreed color. Players will only pick up their own tennis balls. >Players must remove all of their belongings from the courts when the match is complete and be sure to place any garbage in the cans. We will not keep our normal lost and found of shirts, wristbands, water jugs, etc. Any items left on the court will be thrown away.
