The Sun is Shining in Austin for the 2020 Masters!!
The
weather is cooperating for our 2020 Masters Championships. A few final
reminders:
· Players'
Packages are only available at Courtyard Swim and Tennis Club. There will
be two sections, one for players who pre-ordered shirts and/or gift
certificates, the other for those who did not.
· Players
who did not pre-order will have the option to select from the remaining gift
certificates and also purchase a Master Shirt for $20.00. There are
limited sizes available.
· Please,
bring your own chairs, water, and ice.
· Due to
the tight schedule, warm up time, will be limited to 5 minutes.
· Match
times for Sunday Finals, will be posted on Saturday after all matches have been
completed. It is the players' responsibility to check their match time.
· Remember
to set your clocks back one-hour Saturday night. Enjoy your Halloween
Night!
· Just a
reminder of the Round Robin guidelines regarding defaults. Here is a
reminder.
· Round
Robin Rule Default Guideline: A player who is defaulted for any reason other
than lateness shall not play in subsequent matches. If a player or team
defaults, they will not be allowed to play the rounds following that defaulted
match, and if subsequent matches are played, those matches will not count
towards rankings.
· Due to
the limited number of officials, this year we will not be chairing any final
matches, but we will have officials on site to help where needed.
See you
Friday morning. Again, for any changes, only send me an email. Please no phone calls or
texts.
Have
fun, enjoy the event, and WEAR YOUR
MASKS!!

Update September 29, 2020
We already are having players
registering for the tournament. We suggest that you check your Rating by login
in to your USTA Account, go to "USTA League" tab, and write your USTA
Number on the "Find NTRP Rating Info" area. It will do a search and

Open Divisions, Age Divisions and Husband/Wife Divisions do not require a
rating.
Players who have a rating with "S" (Self-rate or
Medical Appeal), in order to be approved to enter the Masters tournament,
players need to submit a "History Verification Waiver Request" via
email to Andrea Booth at Booth@texas.usta.com PRIOR to the entry deadline of October 11.
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, October 11, 2020 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
