MATCH INFORMATION
All matches will be played to completion. Players must play the tournament to completion in order to receive ranking points.

Once again, on Saturday, mixed doubles will be played first, followed by girls’ singles, followed by boys’ singles. On Sunday, mixed doubles will begin first, then boys’ singles, then girls’ singles.

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
Welcome to the Dynamic Duo junior tournament! This is a Mixed Doubles AND singles tournament, with teams consisting of one boy and one girl. Each round will consist of one (1) mixed doubles match, and one (1) singles match, per player (two singles matches total per team). This is a First Round Consolation Draw event. Each team is guaranteed to play two rounds (four matches).

REFUNDS
Refunds will not be given for withdrawing from the tournament. No exceptions.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
First round matches will start at 8 am on Saturday. Every round will begin with mixed doubles. Mixed doubles will begin at 8 am, immediately followed by girls singles. Boys singles will follow immediately after girls singles. The second round will begin at 1 pm, starting with mixed doubles, then girls singles, then boys singles.
Due to the "followed by" format of this event, please have snacks/beverages/lunches prepared when you arrive at your site. It is highly recommended that you have food available at the start of the day.
Draws will be posted online 3 days before the tournament starts. Only mixed doubles draws will be posted online, all draws will be posted and updated at every site for players and parents to follow.

RANKING POINTS
For this event, players will receive Level 3 team ranking points, as well as bonus points for the semifinal and final teams. Click more info for the Level 3 team tournament points table.
Bonus points will be awarded toward the players' singles rankings.
Bonus Points for Team Finish (in addition to points won per round) 1st Place: 200 points 2nd Place: 100 points Semifinalist: 50 points

MATCH FORMAT
Mixed doubles matches will be one regular, 6-game set, tiebreak at 5-5. The format for singles matches will be 2/3 tiebreak sets, with a 10-pt tiebreak in lieu of a third set. ALL MATCHES WILL BE NO-AD SCORING.
In Mixed doubles, deuce point will be gender to gender.

WARM-UP COURTS
City of Irvine public tennis courts are available for practice. Courts are NOT reserved for tournament players. Please abide by all City of Irvine tennis court regulations.

Every player will receive a commemorative tournament t-shirt.

ON-SITE ALTERNATES
We will be accepting on-site alternate for this event. Please check the site where your age division is playing, and sign in at that site with your partner before 7:30 am. Alternates will be entered into the draw if a spot becomes available (first round only).

BALLS
We will be using Wilson Championship balls for this event.
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, October 21, 2019 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
