MAS REGULATIONS AND RANKING POINTS
MAS Regulations and Ranking Points This tournament operates in accordance with the rules and guidelines listed in USTA Mid-Atlantic Regulations and USTA Friend at Court. By registering for this event, players and parents are agreeing to be familiar with and abide by all aspects of the MAS Regulations to include meeting sportsmanship expectations, all aspects of fair play, and respecting the game of tennis.

DOUBLES EVENT REGISTRATION L4 CHALLENGERS
The L4 Challenger flat entry fee includes registration into both singles &
doubles in an effort to promote doubles play and player development, to
maximize the rankings points MAS players earn at this event, AND to
guarantee all entrants have an opportunity to play in at least 2 matches
· All players are expected to register for doubles.
· It is your responsibility to find a partner.
· Please include your doubles partner's USTA number when you register.
By Wednesday noon, you MUST notify
the Tournament Director· You did not register with a partner but have confirmed
your partner; or you do not intend to play; or you want to play but do not have
a partner. Players without partners will
be randomly paired by the TD. Failure to
play with this partner will results in 5 penalty points.

MAS L4, L4+, & L3 EVENT REFUNDS Once player selections have been made and the payment has been processed, there will be no refunds if a player is unable to compete for any reason. Member organizations are not required to refund players for tournaments affected by inclement weather. Per MAS regulations, in the event of inclement weather a tournament may utilize a shortened format in order to play the tournament to completion. If the tournament cannot be played, it is the MAS recommendation that players be offered a credit to a future tournament hosted by the same organization, however, this is only a recommendation and not a policy. Each member organization shall post their refund policy on the tournament homepage.

PLAY TO COMPLETION As per MAS Regulations if a player does not intend to play a match, the player must notify the tournament director within one (1) hour of the end of the previous match of his/her intention not to play. Failure to do so will result in a Default/no show code for the match; five (5) penalty points on a player’s record; loss of points for the tournament; and the event will not count toward the player’s Endorsement List eligibility. TWO (2) PENALTY POINTS will be assessed to players who do not play any/all scheduled matches.

STARTING Jan 1, 2019- Players must have a standing of at least 150 on the current MAS Standing List to compete in an L4,L4+ or L3!

SELECTION & SEEDING L4 CHALLENGERS Selection & Seeding is based on standing on the most current MAS (combined) Standing List. MAS L4, L4+, & L3 NO LATE ENTRIES

BG12 L4 CHALLENGERS There will be two sites offered for BG12 L4 Challengers. Each site will be limited to 16 entrants per division. Format is non-elimination singles & Single Elimination doubles. Players may only register for ONE SITE.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, April 22, 2019 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
