Player Selection Type
The draws and schedules are coming online for Thursday
If you don't see a time or date that means you are not scheduled
We will be going to full three sets in singles main draw 35-75
from QF in large draws and Semi Finals in small
Practice courts are available for first two rounds in the
morning before start of play. Tuesday 8 - 8:45, Wednesday 7:30 - 8
am. Some courts available throughout the day in between
PLAYER PARTY (RSVP on www.itfmia.com)
The player party/dinner is Wednesday night. (6-9 pm)
It is included for all players. For guests you can buy a ticket
on the website.

ITF SANCTIONED INTERNATIONAL SENIOR EVENT
This is an ITF sanctioned senior event which is also endorsed by
the USTA on the national schedule. Players are able to receive USTA
national ranking points and ITF international points. Players will
receive Cat II points from USTA table and RC1 points from ITF
table. (See point tables below.).

MIAMI BEACH TENNIS CENTER
This center was formerly known as "North Shore Tennis Center" but
was recently been renamed to Miami Beach Tennis Center. It has been
completely renovated and a cafe/restaurant is still under
construction. We hope you will enjoy our beautiful tennis center
while you are here.

FOOD AND DRINKS
Reasonably priced lunch, dinner and beverages will be available at
local restaurants within walking distance of the tennis center.
Snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the tennis
MATCH & TIEBREAKER FORMATS
COMAN TIE-BREAKS WILL BE USED - For match formats please read for
your specific division.
Sweeping and brushing the lines will not be conducted after each
match but on an as needed basis, determined by referee and
With limited numbers of entries in certain age devisions they
could be combined to 10 years
This is a first match loser's consolation in both singles and
doubles. Players must sign up at the desk to be entered in
consolation ON THE DAY THEY HAVE LOST IN THE MAIN DRAW.
REGISTRATION LIMITED TO ONE SINGLES AND ONE DOUBLES.
You may enter two divisions, one singles and one doubles. Or one
doubles and one mixed. Registration of doubles closes on Tuesday
March 5th at 5 pm
DINNER PARTY MARCH 6TH (casual)
Player Cocktail Party/dinner will be held on Wednesday, March 6th
from 6-9 PM (The Unidad center, two blocks East on the beach)
complimentary food and first beverage for competitors only. Guests
can purchase tickets online at: www.itfmia.com.
POSTING SEEDS AND DRAWS
Singles and doubles seeds will be posted first, draws will be
posted on March 4th, 2019 on tennislink.
All players are required to check-in 30 MINUTES before the start of
their first match. The MBTC Waiver & Contact Form must be
filled before playing in the event.
Tournament Ball & Ball Change
Wilson US Open regular duty.
3 balls per match will be provided for 2 out of 3 set matches with
new balls provided for the 3rd set. Matches with a match tie-break
in the 3rd set will not have ball change.

Please note that Miami is in high season during the tournament and
players are encouraged to make hotel reservations as soon as
possible at the preferred tournament hotels offering reduced rates.

ALSS - Abbreviated Line Sweeping System
In order to speed up turnover time of courts and improve line
calling (leaves better mark) the tournament will use (as in the
past) the ALSS. This is where only the service and baselines are
cleaned leaving the sidelines untouched. The service &
baselines are cleaned for depth perception but not needed on
sidelines. In turn, the ball makes much clearer mark when line is
unswept. This also saves valuable turnover time of courts when
there are full schedule of matches all day using 10 courts.
