TEXAS JUNIOR POINTS: No CMZ points will be awarded for this tournament. Players who reach the semifinals automatically qualify for the Grand Slam and the Super Champ level starting immediately.

ELIGIBILITY: This tournament is for Championship level junior players and Super Champ players who are in their LAST TWO MONTHS of age eligibility (eligible to re-qualify).
FORMAT: 2 out of 3 sets. 10 point tiebreaker for the 3rd, ad scoring.

Selection process: Players will only be charged when they are accepted into the tournament. You will not be charged a TennisLink fee unless your player is selected. The top 16 Champ players (according to the most current Champ Standing List at the deadline) to register will be accepted into the tournament. If there is a ranking tie, then the section office (1) will use the Champ Preliminary Ranking List. (2) If there still is a tie, the section office will use a players Universal Tennis Rating (UTR).Seeding for the Champ Masters will also be determined by the same method.

Inclement Weather Policy for Championship Masters: If there is inclement weather the tournament will be played with shortened formats. If the inclement weather continues more than one day, then the top 8 players (according to the selection process) from each draw will play one round with shortened formats.

Important notes:
- There will be no points given for winning any of the rounds/matches. This tournament is just a qualification opportunity for the top 4 finishers in each draw.
- Champ players may participate in both the Champ Masters and one Champ Major Zone within the same month.
- Players who qualify for Super Champ at the Champ Masters, may play singles and may be doubles substitutes at the Grand Slam.
-Entry fee: The 4 players per draw who qualify for Super Champ in each draw will pay the difference to play the Grand Slam.

Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

USTA Texas "No Late Entries" Policy for Juniors Due to a new USTA Texas internal procedure, junior division players will NOT be able to register for a tournament after the online published deadline. We are aware that currently parents reach out via email or phone to the USTA Texas staff and/or tournament director requesting to be manually added to the tournament after online registration has closed. If a player misses the registration deadline, then he/she will not be permitted to participate in that tournament

Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.

Watch out For Watches:
Due to recent advances in watch technology, many watches now allow communication by text or email. Just a cellphone use prohibited on court, we are going to ask that players not wear watches on court. Please do NOT be offended if you forget and go out on court with a watch and are directed to remove it during play by tournament officials. If your watch or device is a medical necessity to monitor bloods sugar levels as in the case for type one diabetes or you have another medical or ADA consideration, please inform the tournament director and the referee at check-in. Please be prepared to show documentation.
