A fun doubles tournament raising money for Blessings in a Backpack
This is going to be a fun and competitive doubles tournament raising money for Blessings in a Backpack. We will have a great competitive doubles tournament combined with fun fundraising events. We will also be providing a cookout lunch on Saturday. Lots of contests and prizes, including a ping pong tournament & dunk tank on Saturday ! You will NOT want to miss this event so line up your partner NOW !

FUNDRAISING JUNIOR DOUBLES TOURNAMENT FOR "BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK"
Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry.
Why Do We Do It?
There are more than 16.2 -million children in this country who are at risk of hunger. The consequences of hunger are much more than a growling stomach. Poor nutrition can result in a weaker immune system, increased hospitalization, lower IQ, shorter attention spans, and lower academic achievement. Children are fed during the school week by federal government programs, but we want to make sure they’re getting nutritional meals over the weekend, too.
Blessings in a Backpack is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization currently feeding over 89,000 children in nearly 1100 schools in 47 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The program is a hybrid of private sector funding and public partnership carried out in schools. We are feeding the future of America, one school at a time.

TWO DIVISIONS
We are having TWO DIVISIONS in this tournament. A Southern Level 3 Advanced Division for Boys & Girls 10s - 18s , and a Bronze Division (Intermediate) for Boys and Girls 12s - 18s. We offer Doubles and Mixed Doubles for both divisions.

FORMAT
All matches will be best two of three sets with a match tiebreaker for the third set.
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, August 14, 2019 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
