USTA Release Waiver

Invitations were emailed out around 4:20 PM on Tuesday, April 16th. If you did not receive an invitation by this date and feel you should have, please email Takamori@scta.usta.com.
Anyone is welcome is apply; however, invitations will only go out to the top 60 eligible players.
PLEASE CHECK THE APPLICANTS LIST TO MAKE SURE YOUR APPLICATION HAS GONE THROUGH. IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR NAME, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR SELECTION. The SCTA is not responsible for players not entering on time for their application not going through.
All players MUST enter online through this page and ABSOLUTELY NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON! Please do not wait until the last minute to enter as the website can possibly crash due to everyone trying to enter at the last minute.
If you plan to enter in two divisions, you MUST enter online for all interested age divisions then email Takamori@scta.usta.com with your order of preference (i.e. 1st choice- 14s; 2nd choice, 12s) BEFORE the entry deadline. Please see procedure below for entering in multiple divisions:
-If you get into your first choice, then you will not be considered for your second choice.
-If you get into your second choice but NOT your first choice, you will be taken OFF the alternate list for your first choice thus becoming ineligible for your first choice.
-If you do not get into either of your choices, you will remain on the alternate list for both divisions until you get into one.
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER IN MORE THAN TWO DIVISIONS.
Southern California will be sending a group of 24 boys and 24 girls to the 14 Zonals. The SCTA ranking list published on June 12th will be used for selection. Any tournament that finishes on or before June 11th will be included in the calculation (INCLUDING 2019 CTC TEAM CUP AND CTC POINTS/FRIENDSHIP CUP). There are no wild cards or aging up spots; we will go straight off the ranking list. The selection list will be posted by 5PM on Friday, June 14th. All selected players will appear on the competitors list and alternates will be posted on the "Alternates by Event" link after selection is made.
WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF GETTING IN???
Below are the ORIGINAL ranking cutoffs from previous years (year in parenthesis).
Boys: 46 (2018), 39 (2017), 55 (2016), 49 (2015), 49 (2014), 57 (2013), 53 (2012), 42 (2011)
Girls: 56 (2018), 50 (2017), 70 (2016), 65 (2015), 47 (2014), 47 (2013), 63 (2012), 55 (2011)
Players are responsible for making sure their player record is accurate BEFORE selection is made. Any errors that could affect ranking must be emailed to Takamori@scta.usta.com before 10AM on Thursday, June 13th. Please note that match scores do not affect ranking points.
All players are required to have their birth
certificate or US
Passport on file. Please mail, email (Takamori@scta.usta.com), or fax a copy to the SCTA if you have not
already done so. If you were not born in the United
States, please send proof of the following:
1. United States citizenship
2. Copy of resident alien card (green card)
3. Copy of your I-485 status
IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THE ABOVE DOCUMENTATION BY
JULY 10TH, YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM ZONALS AND THE NEXT ALTERNATE WILL BE
INVITED TO PLAY!!!
SCORING CHANGES FOR 2019
Please note the scoring at this year's Zonals:
Singles will now be Best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set.
Doubles will now be an 8-game proset with a 7-point tiebreak at 7 games all, no-ad scoring.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Monday, June 10, 2019 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
