Kiawah Island Spring Junior Clay Court Championship - SC L3 (STA L5)

The parking lot at the tennis club is being repaved and there is construction equipment in some of the spaces. If you can't find a space please park next door at the East Beach Conference Center and walk through parking lot across Sanctuary Beach Dr. to the tennis club. Thank you for understanding.

All singles draws are now posted. All matches will be at the Roy Barth Tennis Center on Kiawah Island. We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Practice courts are available Friday afternoon. You may also warm up Saturday morning starting at 7:00am on courts 13-20 before the matches start at 8:00am. Other courts may be available for practice based on availability throughout the day Saturday please check in the pro shop.

There will be a playoff for 3/4 in all singles draws.

All singles draws will be published Wednesday night at 8:00pm. We will publish the doubles draws Thursday at 12:00pm. If you would like to play doubles we are still accepting teams so email me asap to be added.

We will have the tournament for all divisions that have enough entrants. Please register if you have not done so yet. We will only play on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you

We are extending the deadline to enter to 5pm Monday. We are watching the number of entrants to see if we have to cancel the tournament or if we are able to have it. Please register for the tournament if you want to play and if we have to cancel we will keep registration open longer so people can withdraw online to get a refund on the entry fee. Please read all information regarding draw sizes, match times, etc... Please do not wait to enter the tournament the last minute. We have special accommodation rates that won't last long for this busy weekend!***

The deadline to enter this tournament is SUNDAY, March 3rd at 11:59 pm...Please register as soon as possible and make your accommodation arrangements as this weekend will be very busy on Kiawah. Thank you!

Special accommodation rates are available in one, two, or three bedroom scenic villas. One bedroom villas are $119/night, two bedroom villas are $165/night, and three bedroom villas are $189/night. Rates are based on availability of villas and are subject to a 12.5% and a 9% resort fee. Call reservations at (800)654-2924 and ask for the Spring Junior Tennis Tournament (booking #16123).

Draw size for singles will be 32 and 16 teams for doubles.

Stringing is available at the Roy Barth Tennis Center.

THERE WILL BE NO REFUND AFTER THE DEADLINE. If you need to withdraw before entries close, you MUST do so online. All withdrawals after entries close and anytime during the tournament must also be sent in writing to the Tournament Referee (jonathan_barth@kiawahresort.com).

There will be a $25 administration fee for all late entries. We are accepting late entries in all age groups that are not full and DO NOT AFFECT SEEDINGS. Please email jonathan_barth@kiawahresort.com with age group of player and contact phone number to be considered. A credit card number must be given when called to accept entry.

10 & Under Youth Progression Eligibility
Please be aware this tournament has two 10 & Under Youth Progression divisions. ORANGE BALL DIVISION AND GREEN BALL DIVISION. This means that in order to play in a 10 & Under division, you must be eligible for that corresponding level. If you are not able to register for a 10 & Under singles event, that means you are not eligible for that level. To find out more information call PJ Fulmer at (803) 781-2574.

Tournament/Match Check In
BRING YOUR MEDICAL FORM TO CHECK-IN
Please check-in for the tournament 30 min. early. Tournament check-in will be available beginning Friday at 3:30 p.m. Please check into your site of play. If you are not scheduled to play Friday, the check-in is not mandatory, only check in at least 30 min. prior to your first match.

Tournament Questions

Seeding Criteria
The most current USTA Southern Standing List will be used for seeding purposes.

Boys and Girls 10's Orange Ball Divsions
Boy's and Girl's ORANGE BALL divisions will be played on a 60' court using a low compression orange ball. Racquet size is limited to 25" or smaller. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games (win by 1). If players split sets then a 7 point tiebreak is played for the 3rd set (win by 2). THERE IS NO COACHING BETWEEN THE 2nd AND 3rd SET BREAK IN THE 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS. Doubles will be a 6 game pro set Using NO AD scoring

Boys and Girls 10's Green Ball Divisions
Boy's and Girl's 10's GREEN BALL divisions will be played on a 78' court using low compression green ball. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games (win by 2). A 7 point tiebreak is played if players reach 4 all. If players split sets then a 7 point tiebreak is played for the 3rd set (win by 2). THERE IS NO COACHING BETWEEN THE 2nd AND 3rd SET BREAK IN THE 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS.
