Thank you to all players, parents, and coaches for playing our tournament. We will be mailing a certificate to all of the singles winners for a free week of training at the Barth Hawtin Tennis Academy valid through August of 2020. I hope you will consider playing in the next STA L3 in Charleston November 15 weekend. We will have mixed doubles in addition to the other events.

BHTA TRAINING SESSION - FRIDAY OCTOBER 11
Barth Hawtin Tennis Academy will be offering a training session Friday from 12:30-2:30 at the Roy Barth Tennis Center open to all participants. The special rate for tournament participants is $50 for this session. Please contact Jonathan at 843-768-2706 to reserve your spot.

The seeding and waterfall will be done from the 9/30/19 USTA-Southern standing list that was also used for player selections.

TOURNAMENT RULES
This tournament uses conduct rules above and beyond those enforced by the USTA. Players participating in tournaments at the facilities identified are required to abide by these facility rules of behavior on and off of the court. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of the players. The list below indicates the Tournament Rules: * No use of the word "suck" or any form of the word spoken or spelled. * No use of expressions of frustrations with references to deities (i.e. "Oh My God", "Jesus", "Jesus Christ", "Christ", "God") either spoken or spelled. * No use of "freaking", "frigging", or "fricking" or variations of such words either spoken or spelled. * No Smoking anywhere on the premises. Premises includes parking lots, bathrooms, and anywhere within 30 feet of a tennis court. Verbal rules apply to any language. We have officials on sight who are fluent in many languages. Anyone found in violation of these rules may be subject to a Code Violation and receive suspension points.

Scoring Format for 12's-18's
All singles through the quarterfinals will play a two out of three set match with a match tiebreaker in lieu of the third set for main draw and consolation. We will play two out of three FULL sets for semifinals and finals (including 3/4 playoff) in main draw 14's -18's. Doubles will be a regular set to 6 with a regular tiebreak at 6 games all.

We are using TWO sites for the 14's, 16's, 18's during the tournament. It is your responsibility to be on time for your matches. Directions to all sites will be provided at the Roy Barth Tennis Center. You can go straight to your first match site if you bring your MEDICAL RELEASE to that site. You may also fax the medical release to (843)768-6092. Please come to RBTC to register either Friday 2:00-6:30pm or Saturday 7:00am-5:00pm. The two match sites are:

10 & Under Youth Progression Eligibility Please be aware this tournament has two 10 & Under Youth Progression divisions. ORANGE BALL DIVISION AND GREEN BALL DIVISION. This means that in order to play in a 10 & Under division, you must be eligible for that corresponding level. If you are not able to register for a 10 & Under singles event, that means you are not eligible for that level. To find out more information call PJ Fulmer at (803) 781-2574.

Tournament/Match Check In BRING YOUR MEDICAL FORM TO CHECK-IN Please check-in for the tournament 30 min. early. Tournament check-in will be available beginning Friday at 3:30 p.m. Please check into your site of play. If you are not scheduled to play Friday, the check-in is not mandatory, only check in at least 30 min. prior to your first match.

Boys and Girls 10's Green Ball Divisions Boy's and Girl's 10's GREEN BALL divisions will be played on a 78' court using low compression green ball. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games (win by 2). A 7 point tiebreak is played if players reach 4 all. If players split sets then a 7 point tiebreak is played for the 3rd set (win by 2). THERE IS NO COACHING BETWEEN THE 2nd AND 3rd SET BREAK IN THE 10 & UNDER DIVISIONS. Doubles will be a 6 game pro set using NO AD scoring

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
