PLEASE DO NOT ENTER UNTIL YOU'VE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION AND YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR TEAM!
INCOMPLETE ENTRIES WILL BE DISREGARDED.
Welcome to the 2nd Annual SCTA Friendship Team Cup event. This tournament is an exciting, fun, and innovative ONE DAY Level 3 18s and 16s team tournament where
players can make up their own teams with their friends!
This is a great warmup for Junior
Sectionals and a fun opportunity for players to play with their friends!
Teams shall assign one team captain
where that person will be responsible for entering themselves on TennisLink (TL
does not allow teams to enter online so only the captain's name will appear on the applicants list). That player will then need to submit their COMPLETED team roster by clicking on the "more info" link. Both steps must be completed in order to be
considered for selection. A confirmation email will be sent to all players to
verify team roster. Any changes to the roster before selection will need to be
communicated with Ai via email. NO CHANGES TO ROSTERS AFTER ENTRIES CLOSE EXCEPT TO REPLACE A WITHDRAWN PLAYER.
CAPTAINS: When you are entering on TennisLink, choose "Find me a team" under "If you know your team already...". I will manually input your team members once selection is made.
ENTERING IN TWO DIVISIONS
Teams are permitted to enter in both divisions PROVIDED THAT ALL PLAYERS ARE AGE ELIGIBLE for both divisions. You MUST enter the SAME team in both divisions (i.e. you can't leave a player out of one division, enter two completely different teams, etc.). Captains, please fill out two separate Jot Forms, enter both divisions in TennisLink, and also email Takamori@scta.usta.com of your first and second choice. Please use the same team name.
Please note the selection process when entering two divisions:
1. If you get into your first choice, you will not be considered for your second choice
2. If you get into your second choice but not your first choice, you will be taken off the alternate list of your first choice and no longer considered for your first choice
3. If you don't get into either division, you will remain on the alternate list until you get into one division. At that point, you will be taken off the alternate list of the one you don't get into.
Each team will consist of a minimum of 2
boys and 2 girls (maximum 3 boys and 3 girls). Players will be responsible
for coming up with their own teams. The SCTA will not place players on teams. Players are permitted to only enter with one team. See info below about entering in two divisions.
