Draws are now posted. We will be having a Parent/Player meeting
at 11:30am Sunday morning before play begins to review rules and
answer any questions.
All divisions consist of 4 or fewer players in each round robin
bracket meaning that everyone will be playing "best of 3 short sets
first to 4, with no ad scoring, and a 7-point match tiebreak in
lieu of a 3rd set, first to 7, win by 2."
The Boys' 14 and 12 Singles divisions have been combined using
USTA junior rankings to create more level-based play opportunities
and increase the total number of matches for each player. There are
two pools, Boys' Red and Boys' Blue. Each player will play round
robin within their pool. There will be two 1st and two 2nd place
winners.
The Girls' 14 Singles division will play round robin in their
pool. There will be one 1st place and one 2nd place
winner.
Matches will be played outside unless it rains, in which we will
move indoors. Play will be continuous, so we ask everyone to remain
on site. Play will begin shortly after the meeting at 11:30am and
conclude no later than 4pm.
Please remember that the NET (Novice Entry Level Tournaments) were
formerly known as Rookie/Jr Novice/Entry Level events. They were
created as play opportunities for players just beginning to compete
who do not have state rankings from the previous year. Players are
asked not to register if they have made it to the finals of any
sanctioned or non-sanctioned USTA tournaments in order to provide a
good experience for others just beginning to play and compete in
the game. This tournament DOES NOT PROVIDE points for rankings.
There are no trophies for this level of tournament but we do hand
out 1st and 2nd place skillzy bag tags and sportsmanship skillzys
for each age division.
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED INTO THIS
TOURNAMENT.
