Scheduling, Check in, Rules, Formats, etc.
After you sign up for the tournament, your credit card will not be charged
until after the deadline for everyone to register for the tournament closes.
For this tournament, Monday, November 13, 2017 is the deadline (1 minute before
midnight) and the entries will be processed on Tuesday, which is when your
credit card will be charged.
Check first round times when draws are posted in the evening on Thursday, November
16.
Be prepared to play all weekend (Saturday and
Sunday). With unpredictable weather, matches may have to be shortened, moved,
etc., to adjust for such conditions. These tournaments are for the children,
and we will do everything we can to help you with anything you do not know or
need help with. Feel free to email Administration@AsAndAces.org with any
questions before the tournament starts.
Please have your child check in at the tournament desk at least 30
minutes prior to your child's first scheduled match time. If courts are
open, we will put your child's match on sooner and help keep the tournament on
schedule. Please keep in mind that there is a 15 minute default period under
USTA rules. A player who does not check in by the time he/she is scheduled to
play, will be put on the clock for being late and penalized according to the
rules in relation to the untimeliness. After 15 minutes, the match is then
defaulted and your child will not get to play the match. This is why it is so
important to check in early. Plan to
arrive early in case there is traffic or an accident or anything that can delay
you arriving early/on-time. Also, ALL
players (win or lose) must report back to the tournament desk
immediately after each match.
Checking in
Players need to check in for their 1st match AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to
the scheduled time.
Scoring Formats
Boys and Girls 12s-18s singles divisions will play two tiebreak sets with a 10-point
tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
Note: With unpredictable weather, the scoring format may have to be
shortened/modified.
10&U divisions:
Considering the
non-elimination format (therefore multiple matches according to the number of
entries in each draw), no-ad scoring
will be used in all matches.
USTA Medical Release Form
All participants MUST sign a USTA Medical Release Form before he/she steps on
the court. To expedite the check-in process, please have your form completed.
Please go to (i.e., copy and paste the following link) http://louisianatennis.com/Images/Interior/med%20rel%20now.pdf,
fill the form, and bring it with you. Thank you.
Notes
Water Bottles: Players are strongly advised to bring a water bottle. It is
going to be very hot!!
Rain Policy: In the event of rain, the tournament
will reschedule matches accordingly through the weekend. Everyone should
prepare to play under the lights and on Sunday. Shortened scoring formats may
be used.
Refund Policy: Once the deadline for withdrawing and receiving a refund has
passed (Monday, November 13, 2017, at 11:59 pm), there are no refunds.
Feel free to email Administration@AsAndAces.org
with any questions before the tournament starts, or ask at the Tournament
