Thank you for playing at the Rio del Oro Excellence!
The tournament is completed. All scores should be up on line. We wish to recognize our 2016 sportsmanship winners: B12 Dedric Ray G16 Connie Ma B18 Randy Cory, Casey Morris, and Wilhelm Saiga If you did not receive your bag tag at the tournament, it should be coming in the mail. We wish everyone a good year, and we hope that we will see all of you back in 2017.

WEATHER UPDATE FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 23RD
The courts are dry and the sun is out right now (April 22, 7 PM). We anticipate that the courts will be ready for play on time for Saturday, April 23. All players please report for your matches on time to avoid any lateness penalties per NorCal regulations. Drive safely, and good luck to all participants!

Practice Court Suggestions:
Players may use the courts at Rio prior to the first matches of the day. Once matches start, the entire site will be quite busy and practice courts will not be available for the first weekend. There are mulitple parks with tennis courts within five miles of Rio. You may google these sites for more information: Arden park, Ashton Park, Sierran Oaks elementary, Mckinley Park, Swanston park, and Howe park

Information for all players!
Welcome to the Rio del Oro Excellence tournament! This Excellence tournament will be held over two-weekends (four days) and will consist of singles and doubles play. Singles draws will be limited to 32 players selected and seeded by NorCal; doubles draws will be limited to 16 teams. PLAYERS MUST PLAY SINGLES AND DOUBLES IN THE SAME AGE DIVISION. Please review this process in the Junior Tournament rulebook. Main draw play will inlcude a 3rd/4th playoff. A FIC draw will go to the round of 16, and will include a 5th/6th playoff. For the BG14-18, all main draw matches will be the best of three tiebreak sets. For all BG12 matches and for all FIC matches, a 10-point match tiebreak will be used in lieu of the third set. All doubles matches will consist of an 8-game proset with a 7-point tiebreak at 8 games all. Doubles partners must be designated by Monday, April llth. After that time, all unpaired players will be randomly paired to play. Players entered into doubles who are not paired by that date may withdraw from the doubles event without penalty if they notify the referee prior to that deadline.
