Acceptance Policy
As a reminder the acceptance policy for this event is different from other ITF Junior Tournaments. The Easter Bowl 18 and under event has been a closed ITF Grade B1 event since 2005. The same acceptance process has been used each year. Players must have an active ITF IPIN account in order to enter and compete in this event. Step 1 In an agreement with the International Tennis Federation Juniors Committee, a truncated list of the top 40 Americans on the ITF Junior Ranking List is created. If any of the players on this list enter they receive direct acceptances. The March 9, 2015 ITF ranking list will be used to create this truncated list. In accordance with the agreement with the ITF, except for seeding purposes, this is the last time that ITF rankings are used.
Step 2 The remaining vacancies are filled with players not already accepted from the Boys’ and Girls’ 18 and under National Standing List in the order in which they appear on that list. The list from March 11, 2015 will be used for this purpose.
Step 3 According to ITF rules, eight (8) wild cards are available for a 64 draw event. Unused wild cards revert back to the wild card committee.
Qualifying The qualifying will be a 64 draw and eight (8) players will qualify for the main draw. Qualifying acceptances will be based on the Boys’ and Girls’ 18 and under National Standing List of March 11, 2015.
Alternates Alternates are ordered using the March 11, 2015, Boys’ and Girls’ 18 and under National Standing List in the order in which they appear on that list. If you have questions about why you may not have been selected, direct them to itfentries@usta.com
