CONCURRENT RULE FOR USTA NORCAL-USTA NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Concurrent with Eve Zimmerman USTA National Tournament
The USTA NorCal BG18 & 16 Fall Singles Sectional Championships tournament is concurrent with the Eve Zimmerman USTA National Tournament ("NATIONAL"). A USTA NorCal Junior player MAY NOT be entered in the Sectionals when entries close for the tournament if the player has been accepted into this NATIONAL Tournament at Stanford. Players that are on the acceptance lists for both tournaments are in violation of the Concurrent Tournament Rule and will be assessed 5 suspension points. Entries close for this NATIONAL tournament well in advance of the Sectionals. If you are accepted into this NATIONAL tournament, withdraw yourself online from the Sectionals before entries close Monday, September 7.
Players may remain on the list of accepted players for the Sectionals and on the alternate list for this NATIONAL tournament until midnight on Sunday, August 13th (refer to USTA NorCal Junior Tournament Rule 6.C.). After such time, a player may not withdraw from the Sectionals to play in this NATIONAL tournament. Doing so shall be considered a violation of the Concurrent Tournament Rule.
Players may remain on the alternate lists of both tournaments, but once a player accepts a position into a draw of one tournament that player may not subsequently withdraw from that tournament to play in another after the Sunday, September 13 deadline. Doing so shall be considered a violation of the Concurrent Tournament Rule.
Concurrent permission is not required from tournament directors but you must comply with rules or suspension points will be levied. Questions regarding rules should be directed to USTA NorCal (Tommy Tu).
