Events - Alternates by Event - August 26th

The second weekend's scheduled will be posted shortly. We are scheduled to play on Saturday only at Laguna Creek Racquet Club. Please check your schedule before you come in case there is a withdrawal. The match format remains the same - the best of three tiebreak sets for all events. Please note that the 7th and 8th playoff match is NOT held.

Please note that after entries close, USTA NorCal will be doing the singles selections only.

No one will be entered into doubles until all of the singles selections are made and players are entered into the tournament. Players who have confirmed partners should notify the tournament referee by Sunday, August 24th, so that appropriate pairings are made. Players who wish to play doubles but don't have partners will be randomly paired by the tournament before the doubles draws are made. If you do not wish to be randomly paired for doubles, you must make sure you are out of the doubles list by Sunday, August 24th. The tournament cannot guarantee that all players will be paired if there is an uneven number of entrants. A player may be drawn randomly to be the first alternate in that situation.

This Excellence will be held over two weekends.

The first weekend will be hosted at two sites: Laguna Creek Racquet Club and Natomas Racquet Club. Laguna Creek will host the BG16-18 events, and Natomas will host the BG12-14 events. The second weekend will be hosted at Laguna Creek Racquet club only.

The format of play for all events will be the best of three tiebreak sets. A 10-minute rest period will be offered between second and third sets. New balls for the third set. A two-hour rest rest period will be offered between all singles events. A one-hour rest period will be offered from singles to doubles or between doubles events.

Tentative schedule of play is:
Saturday, August 30 - First round of main draw singles and Two rounds of main draw doubles
Sunday, August 31 - Second round of main draw singles, First round of consolation singles, and Two rounds of main draw doubles (Semis and Finals/Place)
Monday, September 1 - Quarterfinals and Semis of main draw singles, Round 2 and Quarterfinals of singles consolation, Round 1 of quarterfinal playoff
Saturday, September 6 - Final and 3/4 Playoff of main draw singles, Semis and Finals of singles consolation, and 5th/6th playoff
Sunday, September 7 - Make-up day if needed

Please note that no avoidances will be promised.

Proper tennis attire is required. No marking black-soled shoes will be allowed on courts.

Each player will receive a FREE T-shirt in the event. T-shirts will be printed onsite and customization upgrade options will be available.
