DRAWS ADJUSTED AT 7:30 P.M. THURS. NITE
Please give us until 7:30 p.m. tonight to post these new times. We are accomplishing this right now. The lighting hit us and knocked us out for a short period about 1 hour ago. All looks clear for Friday!

RAIN IS COMING
Draws are posted and the rain is coming but please understand this is the Polar Bear Tournament. We have been on the courts all morning with the Polar Bear Camp. We have been doing this tournament for years and sometimes it becomes a test of wills. We go into this tournament knowing there will be the worst of weather each year and we will do everything we can to get it done. It has sort of become a tradition. The only year where we were not able to do this tournament was last year because of a pipe that burst. Please be patient as we work toward playing the tournament out to completion. We will finish the tournament! Please check back often as we will keep the website up to date as the weather continues to change. As of right now all matches scheduled for today have been POSTPONED. Please check the website tonight for updated match times.

DRAWS ARE POSTED
We may have to adjust for rain but the at least 90% of the draws are posted. We will make adjustments as we can.

NO USTA MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED!
PLEASE NOTE: If the system asks you for non-member numbers- for players who do not have a USTA# you will want to create a TennisLink account. This only takes a minute or two, and the system will generate a non-member id# for you. You will then use this id# to sign up for any non-sanctioned tournaments such as the Polar Bear Championships. Thank you.

10 AND 8 Under Events
All of our 10-8 and under events can be signed up for on the Active.com site. You will be able to go there and find the link to sign up for the Polar Bear tournament for these age groups. All of the other age groups are on this Tennis Link site. Our 10 and Under and 8 and Under events will be played on normal 78' courts and with a regulation yellow ball just like we have done for the past several hundred years. In 2011 the USTA changed the rules for 10 and Under and 8 and Under events. While this is a very recent USTA mandate many parents and coaches want to give their children the option to play regular tennis on a 78' court with yellow balls. These tournaments give the children who really want to get after playing the game of tennis a real tournament situation to test their skills. Please take advantage of this opportunity if you would like to do so.
