LEVEL 3 MIDWEST USTA POINTS PER ROUND AND NO NATIONAL POINTS PER ROUND
TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 32 DRAW SINGLES AND INCLUDE A FEED-IN CONSOLATION. Main Draw will play two out of three full sets and Consolation will play a Matchtiebreaker(Supertiebreaker) in lieu of the third set. Two matches a day for the Main Draw, exept for last day where only one is played and up to three matches per day for the Consolation. Both the Main Draw and FIC will finish the tournament.
PLAYER SELECTION AND NUMBERED ALTERNATE LIST WILL BE POSTED BY MONDAY,FEBRUARY 6TH BY 6PM
USTA /MIDWEST SECTION SEEDING & SELECTION CRITERIA
All USTA/Midwest Sectional and Designated Tournaments will adhere to the following Seeding and Selection Criteria as set by the USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Comitee. Players will be selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be selected by the following 1. Four(4) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the next lower division (,b.,u.except in the boys and girls 12s divisions where 2 players will be selected)2. 28 players from the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of he event (except boys and girls 12s division where 30 players will be accepted) Remaining vacancies and/or alternates will be selected from the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the division of the event. Alternates will be numbered with this Midwest Standing List. Seeding will be done based on the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List the following week.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION PLAYER MULTIPLE ENTRY GUIDELINES FOR LEVEL 1-5 TOURNAMENTS ONLY:
Players may register for multiple USTA/Midwest Section 1-5 tournaments and Age Divisions held the same dates. However in order to avoid receiving five USTA/Midwest Section points, a player must adhere to the following requirements.
The following time lines have been established and all players must adhere in order to avoid receiving five suspension points and/or receiving a refund for multiple entries:
*15 Days prior to the start of the tournament:
q. Entry deadlines for all USTA/Midwest Section Level 1-5 events.
*11 Days prior to the start of the tournament:
1. All players who are accepted into more than one Tournament and/or Age Division shall have until 6:00 p/m. to withdraw from all Tournaments and/or Age Divisions other than the one they choose to play. To withdraw from a Tournaments or Age Division, the player must notify the Tournament Director by email that the player wishes to withdraw.
2.All players who have been accepted into more than one Tournament and /or Age Division and who have not withdrawn from all Tournaments and/or Age Divisions other than the one they choose to play in, by 6:00 p.m. will be eligible to receive a refund of the tournament entry fee minus the TennisLink processing fee.
*8 Days prior to the start of the tournament:
1.All players who have been accepted into a Tournament may remain on the alternate list for other Tournaments or Age Divisions. However, players must decide by 6:00 p.m. EST whether they will play in the Tournament they were accepted into or whether they will remain on the alternate list of another Tournament and/or Age Division. All player who decide to play in the Tournament they were accepted into must notify by email the Tournament Director of each Tournament where they are on the alternate list that they no longer wish to remain on the alternate list. All players who decide to remain on the alternate list of another Tournament or Age Division, must notify by email the Tournament Director of the Tournament they were accepted into that they are withdrawing from the Tournament. No refunds will be available.
Players not accepted into a tournament may remain on the alternate list of multiple tournaments. However, players on multiple alternate lists who are accepted into a Tournament must remove themselves from all alternate lists by notifying the Tournament Director by email immediately that they wish to be removed from the alternate list. Players who fail to do so will be eligible to receive five USTA/Midwest Section suspensions points.
Scoring
All Main Draw matches will be full 2/3 sets and all Consolation matches will play a Matchtiebreak (Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set with advantage scoring on all matches. Some players in Consolation may be playing up to three matches a day. A player will be entitled to a three minute break after splitting sets and before playing the Matchiebreak. The player is allowed to leave the court, talk to a coach or parent, make a phone call, etc. We recommend you DO NOT leave the court because of the short time frame, and we will allow coaches, parents, etc to talk to with you behind the tarp of the court, but not on the court. If a player is late coming back to the court, the penalty will is loss of a game, which in this case results in Loss of Matchtiebreak or Loss of Match.

PRACTICE/WARM-UP COURTS
The Tennis House will be offering a limited amount ofPractice Courtson Friday night,Full court for an hourfor the reduced rate of $20 per hour. Warm-up Courtsstart Saturday and go through Monday and theyare on aHalf Hourbasis only. On Saturday we will have warm-up courts most of the day for your convenience and for the later start times. You will need to pre-pay for the courts with a credit card.

DIRECTIONS TO THE CLUB 1903 Sanborn,Port Huron, MI 48060,(810-987-6868). our club is located 1 mile from 94 and Pinegrove. Take 94 till it ends at Pinegrove,turn let on Pinegrove go 1 mile to the third TRAFFIC light turn right onto sanborn. THe drive way to the club is 200yards down on the left. PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR GPS WHEN YOU GET WITHIN 3MILES OF CLUB BECAUSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION UNLESS IT HAS BEEN RECENTLY UPDATED.

The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot provide conatct information to tournament directors unless the customer provides the contact information during the registration process. Previously the home phone number and email address were pre-filled from the USTA Membership database when a player went through the online registration process. The pre-fill was removed due to privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address and/or telephone number when you register for this tournament then we will be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the tournament.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION DOMICILE RULES:
The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the disrtict qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and USTA/Midwest Section Davis & Wingman Cup events are open to citizens of the U.S., permanent resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and who can present a USCIS reciept for a pending unadjudicated form I-485, aliens who have resided continouosly in the US for more than one year and who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps and aaliens who have been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.

FIRST ROUND REPORT TIME INFORMATION WILL B AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15TH AT 6PM.
Come back to this page and click on the blue Future Match Info Report to find your first match time. Please do not call the club for your start times, our front desk does not have them. Players from the same district will not play each other first round unless an alternate fills a spot or more than half the draw is from the same district.

Acceptable tennis attire. No undershorts (meant to go under a skirt) worn as shorts.
