We will be playing doubles in each division, but you must enter separately beginning on April 17th. The registration for Doubles opens on Aprl 17th and will close on April 20th at 11:59pm (one minute before midnight). YOU MUST SIGN UP IN THE SAME AGE DIVISION THAT YOU WERE SELECTED FOR SINGLES. We do NOT partner players and cannot give out contact info on other players. See the doubles page for all important doubles entry information. The Doubles Tournament ID is 700027312. SEEDING CRITERIA AND CONSIDERATION
Seeding criteria was performed using the Southern Standing List dated 04/16/12. In addition to the standing list, other criteria considered: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division MAY be CONSIDERED for seeding in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding. The Southern Seeding Calculator will be used. IMPORTANT - ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made. If you incorrectly registered for both age divisions and want to withdraw from one, please do so on line following the directions on this page under the headline: Withdrawals.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest Standing List..56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible for the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected.

WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawing during the tournament, You MUST see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee. DO NOT tell anyone at the desk and think you have properly withdrawn. You must see the Head Referee in person or it will be counted as a “No Show” which carries a penalty of 5 suspension points. No telephone withdrawals will be accepted. The withdrawal must then be confirmed in writing (E-Mail) to the Referee: GLINKSC@GMAIL.COM Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or a family emergency, suspension points can be given to that player. PLEASE NOTE IT IS THE PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN. If you do not get a confirmation back from us, please contact us again. NO Refunds will be issued for players withdrawing after Saturday, April 21st, 2012 after 8:00 AM as per Friend At Court National Regulations. Alternates may withdraw without penalty at anytime. If you need to withdraw BEFORE the registration closes on Sunday 4/15/11 11:59 pm go to the Tournament Homepage and select "EDIT REGISTRATION" which is located on the right side of your screen and then follow the steps to withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw" on the same page. You will need this number to complete the withdrawal process. We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself if you are withdrawing prior to the Registration Deadline.

ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS:
Players are cautioned not to enter two tournaments at the same time. Suggestions to avoid being penalized: If you are listed on the Alternate List, you must with-draw from the Alternate List first and then enter the 2nd Tournament. Tournaments have been assigned different deadlines that will allow you time to make your changes.

OFFICIAL COURT BALL/COURT SURFACE
The official tournament ball is Dunlop. We do not have Dunlop balls for sale at the sites. In order to practice with Dunlop balls, you will need to bring your own. All matches will be played on hard courts.

ANYONE WHO HAS NOT ENTERED BY THIS TIME IS CONSIDERED LATE REGARDLESS OF THE REASON. A PLAYER WILL STILL BE TAKEN LATE HOWEVER THEY WILL BE PLACED AT THE BOTTOM OF THR ALTERNATES LIST IN THEIR REQUESTED AGE DIVISION. IF YOU WISH TO BE A LATE ENTRY YOU MUST SEND YOUR REQUEST TO GARY AT GLINKSC@GMAIL.COM. YOU NEED TO INCLUDE YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME, THE DIVISION YOU ARE REQUESTING. LATE ENTRIES
Late entries may be accepted or a new player may be substituted into the draw if the Tournament Committee determines that the ability of a new player does not invalidate the seeding. A 2012 SIGNIFICANT RULE CHANGE
Juniors receive a mandatory 3-minute rest period after the second set when a match-tiebreak is played in lieu of the third set. Coaching is permitted, but the player must stay on the court. After the 3-minute rest period, no further coaching is allowed. If needed, a bathroom break can be taken after the 3-minute rest period. If a player takes a bathroom break during the 3-minute rest period, the player waives the right to further coaching. No coaching is allowed during the bathroom break

DRESS CODE
For Boys: Any T-Shirts must be plain or tennis related. No Sleeveless shirts allowed. No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline. Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn appropriately.
For Girls: Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related. Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately. The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back. This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts. Thank you for your cooperation.

FORMAT AND SCORING
Draws will be 64 players with a Full Feed In through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Main Draw will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Feed-in Consolation will be the best two out of three sets and will play a 10 point match tie break in lieu of third set. In the event of inclement weather, match scoring format is subject to change. Short scoring may be used in the Main Draw to catch up after weather delays, but must get final approval from the Southern office.

TRAINER
A trainer will be on site at the Clemson and Furman. Remember that if you withdraw or retire due to an injury during the tournament, you are required to speak directly to the Head Referee. Notifying anyone other than the Head Referee Speaking will result in a "Default-No Show" for your match. By law, trainers are not allowed to distribute any medicine. Please bring your own Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, or any other medications you may need. If you have an injury or illness we suggest that you see the trainer.

NEW USTA SEEDING INFORMATION
USTA Southern Level 1, 2 and 3 Tournaments. ALTERNATES
Alternates by Event Report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you know you cannot attend. It is the alternates' responsibility to check the tournament website to determine if your "Alternate" status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status changes and you move onto the Players List. You should make sure you provide all of your "Contact Information" when you register. If you are unsure, please email additional contact information to Gary at GLINKSC@GMAIL.COM. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately. Since you were not selected in the initial batch, your credit cards were never processed. The entry fee is $48.88 made payable to Clemson Bullfrog. PLEASE MAIL PAYMENT to Clemson Bullfrog Jr. Tennis Tournament 329 Werrington Ct Greer, SC 29651. If you plan to enter another tournament, you must withdraw as an Alternate in this tournament prior to entering the other tournament. Payment-if you accept a spot, you must mail your entry fee on the day you accept the invitation. We assume you remain available to play in the tournament if you are on the Alternates by Events List. Please contact us immediately if you want your name removed from the Alternate List. It is the Alternate's responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. No Alternates will be contacted after 12:00 noon, Friday April 27th and no changes will be made.

Regulation IV.A.2 now states "The Referee may penalize a player who is on site for lateness if a court is available and the player has failed to check-in at the tournament desk by the scheduled match time. IF THERE IS 1 OPEN COURT AT 10:00 AND THERE ARE 3 MATCHES TO PUT ON: THE REFEREE WILL START THE CLOCK FOR LATENESS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT CHECKED IN FOR 10:00. (EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH COURTS FOR ALL 3 MATCHES)

PLAYERS WHO ARE UNABLE TO CHECK IN FRIDAY NIGHT WILL NEED TO ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST MATCH TIME ON SATURDAY AND CHECK IN. ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE THEIR MEDICAL RELEASE FORM AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF CHECK IN. NO PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY WITHOUT THE MEDICAL RELESE FORM COMPLETED AND SIGNED.

ON SITE ALTERNATES
"On Site" Alternates must inform the Referee in person they are on-site. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play.
