The Fall Southern Closed Championships is a SOUTHERN LEVEL 1-A and a NATIONAL LEVEL 4 tournament. In the divisions of BG(14, 16, 18)s, the draws will be limited to 64. In the BG(12) division, the draws will be limited to 48. In the BG(10)(60' court/orange ball) division, the draws will be limited to 32. All draws will have a full feed in consolation through the Quarterfinals and a 3rd and 4th playoff. All Main Draw matches in BG(14, 16, 18)s are best 2 out of 3 sets. Their Consolation matches will use a (10 point) Match Tie Break to decide a 3rd set. The BG(12) will use a (10 point) Match Tie Break to decide a 3rd set in all Main Draw and Consolation matches. The BG(10) will play 2 Short Sets with a (7 point) Tiebreak as the 3rd set if needed. A Short Set is "The first player who wins 4 games wins that set, provided there is a margin of 2 games over the opponant. If the score reaches four games all, a Tie Break game shall be played." YOU CAN NOT SIGN UP FOR 2 EVENTS. All selections will be made by the Southern Office. Their selections will be based on the RANKING POINTS FOR THE AGE DIVISION THEY ENTER.

For a LATE ENTRY to be eligible for an unfilled draw or an Alternate list, their rank cannot be higher than a potential seed who registered before the deadline. However, a LATE ENTRY with a high rank may be eligible for an Alternate list if a seeded player of equal value withdraws and it is your turn for entry. Any LATE ENTRY for unfilled events after the draws have been posted will go to the Alternates list providing their rank is not higher than a seeded player.

NO REFUNDS for any withdrawals (including special circumstances) after Wednesday, November 14, 5.00 pm EST. Tuesday, November 20, 6.00 am. :Seeds will not be changed or moved around the draw if a seeded or non-seeded player pulls out after this date. It will show uo as a WD unless an alternate is waiting.

The Draws will be made FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16, AT 12 PM EST. The Draws and First Match Starting Times will be posted FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16, AT 5 PM EST. These draws are subject to change due to withdrawing players and seeds. It will be the PLAYERS RESPONSIBILTY To know these changes. Any late entry for unfilled draws after they are posted will go on an alternate list. For a late entry to be eligible, their rank cannot be higher than a seeded player. Unless they are going to replace a seeded player of equal value!

MATCH PLAY BEGINS WEDNESDAY @ 8.00 AM. Players may check in from 5 to 9 pm on Tuesday (11/20). The Tournament Desk is located on the 2nd floor of the Louisville Indoor Racquet Club. Please have your MEDICAL RELEASE FORM ready at check in. Also, please make sure your BIRTH CERTIFICATE or GREEN CARD is on file at the Southern office. This should be done prior to Registration. Players will be allowed to check in prior to their first match if they can't make it on Tuesday evening.

Practice courts are available at the LOUISVILLE INDOOR RACQUET CLUB by reservation (502)426-2454 before match play starting Wednesday morning (11/21). The rate for all practice courts is $10/half hour per court. *There are plenty of free outdoor hard courts available at Tom Sawyer State Park which is 5 minutes away from the main site.

Practice courts are available for the Fall Southern Closed at the Tennis Club at Springhurst. We have 3 indoor courts ( multi sport courts) available from 7.00 am - 7.00 pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the tournament. These are a Sport Court flooring ideal for warm up and practice. The 10 main courts at Springhurst will be used for the tournament play. For those of you who were here last year, this is the same flooring that was moved from our Topgun location to our new building at Springhurst. The cost per hour is $25.
