DOUBLES INFORMATION
Please refer to the Lagoon Park Tennis Facebook Page for the Montgomery AL Bullfrog Doubles Group for help finding a doubles partner. Also, you can email us to request placement on a random pairing list. The random paring does not guarantee you a partner, but it does give you another opportunity to be paired.

TIMELINE
*1. Deadline is two Sundays prior to your start date.
*2. Tuesday March 6th: Deadline selection list sent to Tournament Director
*3. Wednesday March 7th: Doubles entry process begins
*4. Friday March 9th: Singles List submitted to STA Office if the Committee would like STA to review.
*5. Monday March 12th: Seeds posted by 5PM
*6. Thursday March 15th: First Match Report posted by 5 PM
*7. Friday March 16th: Draws Posted by Start of Check in.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
The USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration. BIRTH CERTIFICATES/PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP
All players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern office for proof of US citizenship. Green cards will be accepted, but passports will not. A file of those withproof on file is found

ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS
ENTERING TWO (2) TOURNAMENTS - DO NOT DO THIS--- Do not enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list,you must withdraw from the alternate list first and then enter the second event. Tournaments have different deadlines that will allow you time to make changes.

ALTERNATES
Players on the Alternates list choosing to play in another tournament, please be sure to send an email withdrawing from this tournament before entering another. This means you cannot be on the alternate list of another tournament.
We will use the information that you supplied upon entering to contact you. Please let us know if you would like to be contacted at a different phone number/email than the ones you provided.

SCORING FORMAT
64 Draw will have Full Feed In through the quarterfinals
All Main Draw matches will be best two out of three tie-break sets (new balls provided for the third set) Singles matches for 64 draw will begin on Saturday morning with finals on Monday.
All Consolation matches will be best two out of three sets with a tiebreaker in lieu of the third set (10 Points. The third set tiebreaker will be a match tiebreak played to ten points with a margin of two points. Consolation matches play one round on Saturday, three rounds on Sunday and three rounds on Monday.
The consolation will be a full feed-in consolation through the quarterfinals.
There will be a playoff for third and fourth place in the main draw.

Please have the Medical Release Form filled out and signed by a parent/guardian with you at check-in.

Ida Bell Young Park will be used exclusively as a practice site throughout the tournament. There are only 4 courts so please share. Thanks.

SEEDING
USTA SOUTHERN SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using only the results from the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings List (Plublislhed List used for selections) of the division in the order in which players appear on the list.
Players who have a standing in the next younger age division MAY be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently plublished USTA Southern Combined Standings List of any youngre age division. Players selected into the 12s division based on there 10s standing will not be considered for seeding. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 10000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding

NEW USTA RULE
A 2012 SIGNIFICANT RULE CHANGE--- Juniors receive a mandatory 3-minute rest period after the second set when a match-tiebreak is played in lieu of the third set. Coaching is permitted, but the player must stay on the court. After the 3-minute rest period, no further coaching is allowed. If needed, a bathroom break can be taken after the 3-minute rest period. If a player takes a bathroom break during the 3-minute rest period, the player waives the right to further coaching. No coaching is allowed during the bathroom break.

THE CODE
In matches without an official on court, players are expected to play by the CODE that is found in the Friend of Court.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 4, 2012 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
