Thus and this is important, each player must get his/her next round time from these Center-posted draws before leaving the center.

A signed medical release form is required prior to playing in the tournament. Also, a parent or guardian must sign the medical release. more info

PRACTICE COURTS----posted 2-28
Court space in Atlanta this time of year is scarce. If you live locally, please use your neighborhood courts.
No reservations will be taken for practice courts. When necessary, please share the courts.
There is no charge.
Also, the tournament phone number is not the same as the Hudlow Tennis Center number.
Friday: Hudlow courts are open all day until 4:30pm. Sandy Springs: 10 courts from 5:30-5:45pm. Racket Club: No practice courts, use Hudlow.
Saturday: Hudlow: Seventeen courts until 8:00am. Two courts until 10:30am. Sandy Springs: Eight courts until 9:30am. Racket Club: Eight courts from 7:30 to 8:00am. Two courts from 8:00 to 9:30am.
Sunday: TBD.

A 2012 SIGNIFICANT RULE CHANGE---POSTED 2-28
Juniors receive a mandatory 3-minute rest period after the second set when a match-tiebreak is played in lieu of the third set. Coaching is permitted, but the player must stay on the court. After the 3-minute rest period, no further coaching is allowed. If needed, a bathroom break can be taken after the 3-minute rest period. If a player takes a bathroom break during the 3-minute rest period, the player waives the right to further coaching. No coaching is allowed during the bathroom break.

ON-SITE ALTERNATE PROCEDURES ----posted 2-28
If you an alternate and have not been admitted by late Friday, March 2, then you can be an on-site alternate. Alternates must sign-in at the tournament desk no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match time of the event for which they are an alternate. If a default or withdrawal creates a vacancy in the draw, then the alternate who has signed-in and is highest on the alternate list will fill the vacancy. Alternates may play doubles even if they are not admitted to singles.
Effective January 1, 2009, the procedure for accepting on-site alternates into the draw was rewritten for clarification as follows:

Saturday: One round of doubles followed by two rounds of main singles and one round of consolation singles
Sunday: One round of doubles followed by two rounds of main and three rounds of consolation singles.

REFUND POLICY:
Per STA regulations, there are no refunds within seven days of the tournament start date
And, withdrawals after the entry deadline must be done via e-mail.

ENTERING TWO AGE DIVISIONS

SELECTION PROCESS
Selections are based on the top 56 (Southern Standing List) from the age group of the event and up to 8 from the lower age group who do not get in the first 56 and who are in the top 80 in the lower age group. The Southern Standing List at the time of selection is the relevant one.
