INDIAN WELLS TENNIS GARDEN HOLIDAY JR OPEN

We are hosting an "Open Matchplay" at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Monday from 1-3 as a way to get out and hit on the courts here after the holiday. It will be supervised by one of our teaching pros and we will mix and match players by level. The fee is $10 and you can register by calling or emailing the tournament director.

If you see a match time that is not posted on the draws, the match is going to be played on Thursday. These matches will be scheduled on Tuesday night at the end of play and viewable by Wednesday morning.

I have cancelled a few doubles draws. If you had registered for an event that draws are not posted for it has been cancelled. I will place checks for refunds ASAP and you will likely get a check in the mail in mid-Jan.

The entry deadline is at 6 pm on Friday, December, 23rd. The reason for the earlier deadline is so that the draws and start times can be posted before the end of the night on Thursday and available all day on Friday. Please be reminded that we will strictly adhere to the deadline.

Anyone playing in multiple divisions (2 singles and 1 Doubles Maximum) that withdraws from ANY match will be removed from ALL events. For example: a player playing 14's and 16's that loses 1st round in the 16's and choses not to play the consolation match to save themselves for main draw matches in 14's will not be allowed. This holds true for ANY two divisions inluding the doubles event. Each player is expected to play all events to completion that they have registered for. We understand withdrawls and will consider any withdrawl one for the ENTIRE event. Thank you for understanding.

We will begin play on Tuesday December 27 at 8:00am. We will play all day on Tues and Wed and use Thursday only if necessary.

Any division with 2 participants will be cancelled (participants will be given the opportunity to "play up"), 3 participants will play a Round Robin and 4+ participants will play full 1st Match Losers Consolation draws. All Main Draw and Consolation draws will be played as 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tiebreak played instead of a 3rd set.

Any division with 2 teams will be cancelled (participants will be given the opportunity to "play up"), 3 teams will play a Round Robin and 4+ participants will play single elimination tournaments. Each doubles match will be played just as the ATP Tour plays: No-Ad Scoring and a Match Tie-Break instead of a 3rd set.

2011 SCTA POINTS PER ROUND RANKING

For Southern California open ranking purposes, this tournament is a SCTA Level 5 event. For 2011 tournaments, Level 5 points will be awarded based on draw size for each individual event. more info

Scoring will be 2 out of 3 sets with a Match Tiebreaker (first to 10 points) in lieu of a 3rd set for all matches.

Entry fee includes tournament t-shirt.

For Singles any division with 2 entries will be cancelled, 3 entries will play a Round Robin and 4 or more entries will play First Match Losers Consolation (FMLC). Doubles will be the same except will play Single Elimination (SE).
