We are planning to play two rounds of doubles on Saturday afternoon (Quarters and Semis) and the Finals on Sunday night. The times posted are estimates. If you know all four players are ready to play earlier, please contact the tournament desk at the main site and we will find you a court. (VDM - Main site for 12s or SHIP - Main site for 14s). Doubles play on Friday afternoon will begin at 5:00 PM. We will play three rounds in all draws. We will run four sites on Friday night. Directions to the sites are posted on the Singles web site. Check in Registration will open at 2 PM at the Crown Plaza resort and continue until 8 PM on Friday night. It will re-open at the main site, Shipyard on Saturday morning at 7:30 AM.

Van Der Meer Tennis Center (VDM) 19 Deallyon Avenue, (zip code - 29928) Main Site for 12's. VDM Tennis Center from I-95, take exit 8 (Hilton Head Is) onto Hwy 278. Stay on Hwy 278 onto the island. At the north end of the island, Hwy 278 will fork... take left-hand fork onto the Cross Island Pkwy(Toll Road). Pay the toll and proceed until you reach the Sea Pines traffic circle. Take the second exit off of the circle onto Pope Avenue. At the second traffic light take a right onto Cordillo PKWY. Drive about 200 yards and take a left onto Deallyon Avenue. Drive past the Player's Club Resort entrance and turn right immediately after the Player's Club building.(You will see courts on both the left and right side of Deallyon).

Physcial Address: 4 Queens Folly Road, HHI, SC 29928. 843-785-1152. When leaving Van Der Meer Shipyard take a left and follow Shipyyard Drive to the round-a-bout. Take the first right in the round-a-bout (Shipyard Road) and this will lead you through Shipyard Plantation. After exiting the Main Gate, take a right at the light onto Business 278 WEST (Up Island). Palmetto Dunes will be the next plantation on your right. After driving 1.5 miles, the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center will be on the left. Look for the sign.

Physical Address: 116 Shipyard Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928 (843-686-8804).Directions to Shipyard Racquet Club (SHIP): From the Van Der Meer Tennis Center, turn right on Cordillo Parkway. Go straight through the traffic light on Pope Avenue and into the entrance of Shipyard Plantation. (Shipyard Plantation is a gated community. Please notify the gate guard that you are attending a Van Der Meer Tennis Program to receive a day pass to enter the Plantation. Please obey all speed limit signs. They are strictly enforced!). Follow the main Shipyard Plantation road for 1 mile until it ends in a traffic circle onto Shipyard Drive. Follow for 1.5 miles and follow the signs towards the Crown Plaza Resort. The Van Der Meer Shipyard Tennis Resort will be on your right. Turn into the parking lot (Crown Plaza Resort) and turn right - park in this lot. (Fouradditional hard courts at this site are being used for 12's doubles on Friday).

At the traffic light, turn left onto Pope Avenue. When you reach the traffic circle, take the first exit onto William Hilton Parkway/278 Business. Travel approx. 4.75 miles. Turn right toward the ocean on Singleton Beach Road. Go about 100 yards on Singleton Beach Road and take the first left onto Castnet Drive. The courts are immediately to your right.

Directions to Hilton Beach and Tennis (HBT): From the Van Der Meer Tennis Center (VDM), turn right onto Cordillo Parkway. At the traffic light, turn left onto Pope Avenue. When you reach the traffic cireclt, take the first exit onto William Hilton Parkway/278 Business. Travel approx. 5 miles. Turn right onto Folly Field Road. Resort is half a mile on the right. Pro shop and SBT headquartes are to the far right of the tennis courts as you approach from the security gate. (The tournament desk is located under the tent). NO PETS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS FACILITY.

We will be taking a list of players who wish to be on site alternates for doubles in the event a player or team withdraws. Please sign in at Registration or email the Tournament Refree before Friday at 2 PM. We need the age division, players' name and contact phone numbers. We are NOT accepting late entries, this is for withdrawals only.

Doubles Selections are now posted. NO LATE ENTRY TEAMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

You must register in the SAME AGE DIVISION that you were selected for singles. Both players must register online, indicating their partner at the time of registration.

Doubles will consist of a 32 single elimination draw. An eight game pro set will be played with a tie break at 8 all. (7 point tiebreak. First to seven, win by 2). Regular scoring will be used. We will have 3rd/4th playoffs.

Players will be selected manually after the registration closes. Players who have both been selected in singles will take top priority on selections. We can consider alternates after these players have been selected.

Doubles seeding shall be in order of their combined standings. (e.g., Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11). Teams that have the same combined standing shall be seeded in the order of the total number of Doubles standings points held by each team.

We realize finding a partner can be a difficult process when you do not have contact information for players. You can email your contact information (cell phones, emails) to the Referee: MSRabb@aol.com and give her permission to share your contact information. She will then email you a list of other players in your age division ONLY that have given us their permission to share their contact information. The rest is up to you and remember, we MUST have permission to share the information. Work fast, the deadline is Friday night!!
