Update: Sunday 7:15am
Good morning... The rain is staying away for now so all matches are as scheduled. I have had a couple people text me just now and are pulling out of the tournament. I will be updating the draws here in a moment with that info. Please continue to check back for all updates. Travis

Update: Saturday 8pm
Looking at tomorrow there is rain in the forecast. I will be sending out an update around 7am Sunday morning. Please check the draws and this page throughout the day tomorrow for the latest match times and in-climate weather updates. Also based on how matches progressed today I have pushed back many of Sundays matches 30 minutes already. Be sure to check the draw for your match times.

Friday: 11pm update
Several match times had to be adjusted in the morning so please check the draws to see your schedule. We have contacted everyone who had changes in the morning. This may push back some of the 9:30am matches at Rebs but we have several courts available to us and will be able to put matches scheduled there on quick. I will moniter the situation and keep updating the site in the am so be sure to check back before you had to your match. Travis

Update: 1:45pm
If you play tonight 7pm at Rebsamen, please show up a bit early so we can get the matches on asap. Rebsamen tennis center lights go out at 9:30pm so the sooner we can get on the better. Also, the pool snack bar at Chenal is open this weekend but will only take cash. They will only be taking orders from the pool side of the snack-bar. If you haven't already please review the earlier updates from today.

Update: Friday 11AM
Obviously, we want to stay safe as possible this weekend and need to pay attention to a few details. All the guidelines and protocols are listed on this page but I wanted to point out a few key guidelines we are following. Please review this list and prepare accordingly. The last one on the list is important to keep the tournament on schedule.
Chenal and Rebsamen: -Please only one person at a time checking in at the tournament desk. Areas around the check-in table will be marked to maintain social distancing. We encourage you to wear a mask at check-in as well. -At the conclusion of each match have only one person report the score and return the tennis balls. We will have a box at the check in area to return the balls in. -We will update the draws on a regular basis, so check on line for all match updates. -In case of rain return to your car and we will update this page for all communications. -Bring your own water and towels. -You cannot enter the tennis shops at either location without a mask. -There is very limited seating available at both locations. Please maintain 10 feet apart while seated. -Chenal will have scorekeepers available on the courts, but Rebsamen will not. -When changing the score, please change your own and let your opponent change theirs. -All matches will be best of three with a tiebreaker in lieu of the third set. -Please HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!!! -PLEASE STICK WITH A 5 MINUTE WARMUP.... Also I understand its hot and you may need some extra time on changeovers, an extra minute or two is fine, but I've seen some matches where the changeovers lasted longer then the match. LOL!!!

10am update:
I was able to put these mens divisions on clay for the weekend. Mens open singles & doubles, Mens 4.5 singles, Mens 4.0 singles & doubles
|
Update: Thursday 5:40pm
As anticipated we will be using Rebsamen quite a bit both Friday evening and Saturday am. Be sure and look closely to your match times and locations. Please check back to the draws on a regular basis for any changes. If we are able to stay clear of any weather issues the rest of the tournament matches will be played at Chenal. The draws are up through Saturday and all clay court matches are scheduled through Sunday. I will finish Sunday matches by tomorrow afternoon. Please remember to follow all the social distancing guidelines we have in place.
|
Update Saturday July 4th:
If need be I may have to add more events to the clay courts or possibly even go to a first court open format for all draws. This will mean that both hard and clay courts will be used in all draws to keep the tournament flowing. We don't have the luxury to sit and wait on courts that long due to social distancing. It will depend on the size of the draws. There is also the possibility that we will need to use Rebsamen tennis center on Friday evening or possibly even Saturday.
