Level 3 regulations
1.
Level
3 Tournaments shall have two 16, balanced draws in each age division. If entire draw number is under 24(23 and
under) one draw will be used instead.
2. Tournament will offer DOUBLES.
3. If
using two 16 draws, they will be determined by use of the waterfall
system. Seeding will be done before the
waterfall system process. If draws are less than 6 players, it should be a
ROUND ROBIN FORMAT
4. Your deadline should be at 11:59 PM of the
deadline date, which is two Sundays prior to the start date.
5. Format will be a feed in through quarters
for 16 draw. Finish main draw but do not
play out finals consolation. For 32
(smaller than 23) feed-in through quarters as well.
6. Doubles players MUST play in the same
division in doubles as they were selected for Singles.

Scoring
Format for singles is 2 out of 3 set with a match tie break in lieu of a third
set. Doubles scoring format is 6
game set. The 14-18s division are to play no more than 4
matches in one day.

he USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form is two pages and must be presented at the time of tournament registration. player selection
.This tournament is open for junior players regardless of ranking. You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and your credit card is charged. USTA Southern standings will be used for seeding.

late entrants
USTA Kentucky will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA KY tournaments in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

format
For all USTA Southern 10 and Under, Level 1-3 tournament play (not including Jr. Team Tennis), the required scoring format for singles matches, shall be the best of two short sets (first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) for the third set. Scoring for BG 12-18 - Main Draw and Consolation (FIC): Best of 2 sets with a Match tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. Consolation final may not be played.

selection process
Players will be selected for Southern L1, L1A, L2, and L3 Tournaments ONLY from the most recent Southern Standing List of the division of the tournament; players will no longer be selected from the next-younger division Southern Standing List. Doubles Selection Criteria (Doubles play in the division selected for Singles) 1. Both players have been selected in singles 2. One player has been selected into the singles and is partnered with an alternate 3. Both players are alternates 4. One player has been selected into the singles and is partnered with no singles entry 5. Alternate and no singles entry 6. entering two divisions
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. 1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. 2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. 3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. 4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

seedings and draws
Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Players selected on their 10's standing shall not be considered for seeding in the 12's division. Doubles Seeding Criteria: Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (e.g., Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11.) Teams that have the same combined standing shall be seeded by the by the highest singles seed of the four (4) players. Draws,seeds and match times will be posted on Thursday, February 28 by 5:00 pm.

waterfall process for splitting draws
hirty-two (32) players will be selected for each event (see selection process headline) and then be split into two Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection. If a draw has 23 players or less, then a single 32-draw will be played with feed-in through the quarterfinals. Seeding will be made prior to the players being split. The 32 players will be split as follows. Red Draw: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32 White Draw: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31

playing format and scoring
All Singles draws will play the best two out of three tie-break sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third set, with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarterfinals and 3/4 playoff. The Finals of the Consolation Draw will not be scheduled and will not be played. BG10s: Boys and Girls 10's will play on the regular 78' court, using Green Ball. The required scoring format for 10's singles matches shall be the best of two short sets with regular scoring (first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third set. DOUBLES FORMAT BG10-18s: All Doubles draws will be a 6-game set, with a 7-point tiebreak at 6-all. This is the new format approved by Southern for 2018.

withdrawals prior to entry deadline
If you have entered and wish to withdraw prior to the entry deadline, please go to the tournament web page and click on Edit Registration. You will need your confirmation number that you received in your confirmation e-mail to complete the withdrawal process.

withdrawals after selection during tournament
A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a match or tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal circumstance; written verification must be provided. A player who cannot play a match shall notify the Referee in writing (NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED) immediately so that the opponent may be notified at once and saved a trip. A player who withdraws from a tournament is not entitled to the return of the entry fee unless the player withdrew prior to the published refund deadline date. No refunds after registration deadlin

This tournament is held at Top Seed Tennis Club.
Play will be on 12 Decoturf climate controlled indoor courts.
1. In order to maintain and/or secure Level 3 Southern
status, a tournament must have a minimum of 3 players, per age
division with a Southern standing in the top 125, B/G 12s-18s. AT
the start of the tournament.
2. All information should be updated and posted on your
tournament homepage- this is MANDATORY. This should include scoring
formats, balls to be used, draw type, Birth Certificate
information, parent alert/medical release form info, selection and
seeding information, practice courts, check-in procedures, hotel
info, sites used, trainer/stringer info, doubles information, late
entry process (if taking them), entering two tournaments info. At
least 3 months in advance.
