SUNDAY'S MATCH SCHEDULE:
As of 7:30 PM Saturday: Please check your draw for any match time changes. We will be playing regular tennis tomorrow.

WEATHER DELAY:
As of 8:30 AM Saturday: The courts are wet and all matches are delayed for 1 hour from the scheduled time. If your match was scheduled for 10:00 AM your new match time is 11:00 AM etc. Please check the draws for players withdrawing.

NEW MATCH SCHEDULE:
As of 9:00 AM Friday: Please check your draw for the new match times. Please report 25 minutes before your scheduled match time. The format has been shortened due to the weather. All players will receive the normal USTA points and trophies will be awarded. Call or text Lee (626-825-6930) or e-mail to Metroplextennis@aol.com regarding questions.

WEATHER UPDATE:
As of Thursday at 6:30 PM: The temperature and wind chill this weekend is expected to be at or below freezing. Keeping the players safe and out of the cold as much as possible and completing the tournament. All matches will be shorten to 4 games sets with no-add scoring and a 10 point match tie-break. Please check the draws tomorrow morning for new revised match times.

FORMAT:
Ad/Sr/SS Scheduled Format: Main Draw and Back Draw will play two-of-three sets (ad) scoring and a 10
point match tie break in lieu of the third set. Weather conditions during the tournament may change this scheduled format.
Junior Main
Draw Singles Format: Will play 2 out of 3 tie break sets (ad) scoring with a 10 point match tie break in lieu of the third set thru the Semi Finals. Three minute rest break
between second and third sets and coaching is allowed. There will be a minimum
of 1 hour rest break. The Finals will play a full 2 out of 3 sets. Ten
minute rest break between second and third sets and coaching is allowed. Weather
conditions during the tournament may change this scheduled format.
Junior Consolation Singles Format: Will play 2 out of 3 tie break sets (ad) scoring with a 10 point match tie break in lieu of the 3rd set. Three minute break between second and third sets and coaching is allowed. There will be a minimum of 1 hour rest break. Weather conditions during the tournament may change this scheduled format.
Junior Doubles Format: is an 8 game Pro Sets with regular (ad) scoring and a (7 point) match tie break at 8 games all.
10 AND UNDER: is 2 out of 3, 4-game sets (first to win 4 games by a margin of 1 game) using
no-ad
scoring; 7-point tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set (first to win 7
points by a margin of 2).

10 & Under Regulation - Junior Other Tournaments
All junior other sanctioned tournaments offer 10 & Under Orange Ball Division (orange ball, 60 foot court and 25 inch racquet) and 10 & Under Green Ball Division (green dot ball, 78 foot court and 27 inch racquet). Please register for the correct division based upon age, Challenger tournament credit / wins, etc. All tournament entries are verified by the section office. Excessive Overrule Guideline: The USTA Texas Officials Committee along with the Competitive Department has established a guideline in reference to excessive overrules as clarified in the Friend at Court. This guideline states "Once a player has been overruled for a second time in a match, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they will be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the point penalty system."

Inappropriate umpire/spectator communication, whether it be about a ruling or any other facet of a tennis event is prohibited while a match is in progress. Being a parent, coach, etc. does not endow special privileges. With the only exception of the right to remove their own child from competition at any time, a parent or coach is merely a spectator.

Registration Confirmation: As a parent or player it is your responsibility to assure registration in the event. Regardless if you register on the website or mobile app after completing the registration you should visit the USTA web driven site and confirm your registration by finding the player in the applicants list. If you select to skip this process please be aware that should any malfunctions of the system occur, players will not be granted late entrance in the event due to a system error.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, January 13, 2019 11:59:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
