SPORTS MEDICINE AND SCIENCE RESEARCH!!
Emory Sports Medicine is nationally recognized in youth sports research in partnership with the International Tennis Performance Association (iTPA).STAY (Specialized Training Assessments in Youth) athletes is an important national study that will survey youth tennis and soccer players every year to determine what is the optimum training volumes that improve performance and limit injury risk. LATE ENTRIES
We are accepting late entries until midnight on Tuesday. Please note that a late entrant cannot have a higher standing than the seeded players and thus affect the seeding. There is a $10 late fee added for a late entrant. If you entered another tournament on time and did not get in you are not considered a late entrant.

SINGLES/DOUBLES AGE GROUPS & DOUBLES PARTNERSHIP DEADLINE
You are allowed to play singles and doubles in 2 different age groups. After the online deadline of Monday night, you will have until Wednesday, October 3, 6:00 p.m. to finalize your doubles partnership. If you don't get a partner through the Match App or another means, I can help.

Welcome!
This is an intermediate-level tournament sanctioned by USTA
Georgia as a Level 4 (Southern Level 5 points). Registration must be completed
online. In the future, you can jump straight to this tournament by entering the
tournament identification number: 703419019 from the searchable schedule homepage. Each player will receive a tournament
t-shirt or player's gift.
Additional sites may be used.
Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with yellow balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under
that are eligible
for green balls in Youth Progression will play on a full court with
green dot balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for orange balls or
new to Youth
Progression will play on a 60’ court
with orange balls. Boys and Girls 8 and under will play on stand alone 8 & Under court with Red Balls.
USTA Georgia tournaments do not offer Orange Level 2
divisions. All players that register for Orange 2 will be automatically moved
to Orange 1 before the draws are posted.
Youth Progression
(for children ages 7-10) If this is your child’s first time playing a tournament,

to activate their USTA number in the Youth Progression program. For more

New for 2019
USTA Georgia is publishing two separate standing lists for
10 and under players: Orange Ball standings and Green Ball standings. Players will receive same level points
for this tournament but will be listed in separate standing lists according to
their ball color (green ball players no longer
receive level 3 points on a level 4 or 5 tournament).
Player selection
This tournament is open for junior players regardless of
ranking. You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and
your credit card is charged.
Late Entrants
USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into
all USTA GA tournaments in the event that the draw is not full, provided that
such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late
entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any
circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament
Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration.
Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late
entries.
Draws
Draws will be published by Thursday at 5 pm. It is your
responsibility to check this tournament webpage for the players’ draws, match
times and any other updates.
Format
Consolation - FIC
through Quarterfinals. 3rd and 4th place playoffs. Some consolations may not
finish. Awards for 1st through 4th place and for consolation winner and
finalist.
Scoring format -
BG12-18 - two tiebreak sets with a match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set. BG10 -
Two no-ad scoring, short sets (sets to 4 games) with a 7-point tie-break in
lieu of a 3rd set.
Format for 8 and under - QuickStart
players cannot play in the regular Boys/Girls 10 Singles divisions. They will
play on a 36’ court with red balls. Results for the 8 & Under tournaments
will be included in the USTA GA Standings using the Points Per Round Co-Ed 8
Table. Only results played in this format will count for this list.
Withdrawals and
Refund Policy
Before the
deadline, withdraw through TennisLink. After the deadline, email the tournament
director. No refunds for withdrawals after the tournament deadline.
