Schedules and Draws are now posted! Please review them carefully.
March 12, 2019
Thank you for entering the Natomas $2000 Open/NTRP/Senior
tournament – TOY 3.5, 4.0, and 5.0! We all hope that you have a wonderful time,
and that you play well.
Just a reminder to remember to get your T-shirts! On
Saturday, there will be a special lunch for players provided by Slightly Skewed,
featuring grilled Asian street food from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Adult beverages
and snacks will be provided all days.
Open format is best of three tiebreak sets. NTRP and Senior
events will use a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
Please note that this tournament is somewhat difficult to
schedule due to the combination of events a player and partner might pick to
play. However, the program tries to schedule as if everyone is going to proceed
forward. On the last day (Sunday) there may be opportunities for players to
move their scheduled matches up so that they finish earlier in the day. Feel
free then to talk to your opponents and see if playing earlier behooves you. If
it does, please come to the front desk with your opponents and ask to change
your times. If court space is open, we will try to accommodate you.
We will be playing late on Friday and Saturday; so just a
head’s up. Traffic into Sacramento, particularly along I-80 can be challenging;
so please give yourselves enough time to drive safely.
If you have to withdraw, please email Glenn Davis, the
tournament director, with a copy to the tournament referee. We will need a
reason for the withdrawal. Just a head’s up that NorCal does assess two
suspension points for any withdrawal, whether excused or not. Please do not
call the front desk at the club or leave a message there – we may not get it at
all. There are some players who would love to play if there is a withdrawal at
their level.
TOY NTRP levels 3.5, 4.0, and 5.0, please remember that
NorCal adds a third and fourth playoff for these events (singles, doubles, and
mixed doubles). If you make it to the semis, remember that you have another
match whether you win or lose. If you do not show up for the Playoff match,
unfortunately you will be defaulted for a No Show – so please do not forget
this third/fourth playoff match if you lose in the semis.
Good luck to everyone.

Please remember to enter the same level if you are entering two NTRP events. We cannot allow any cross-overs in the NTRP divisions for this tournament.
|
Please note that we do not do any random pairings for doubles. Please make sure your partner has entered doubles and indicate your partner's USTA number when you enter

Natomas Sports Club prides itself on its hospitality to the players. Amenities to all participants will include T-shirts, adult beverages, snacks and a special lunch provided to the players on Saturday from 10:30am-2:00pm, courtesy of Slightly Skewed, specializing in grilled asian street food.

Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race and the concurrent tournaments will not count toward the minimum tournament requirement to qualify for Grand Prix.
