The USTA National Men's 75 & 80 Grass Court Championships
will be held at the Wessen Lawn Tennis Club in Pontiac, Michigan.
WLTC is the first major grass court tennis club to be built in the
US in more than 100 years with 24 perennial rye grass courts, 4
hard courts, olympic-size pool and clubhouse featuring snack bar,
wood-burning pizza ovens and viewing deck.
Player Selection Type
All (4) events will begin Monday, August 20.
Full schedule will be added to the draws by the end of the day
Matches will generally be scheduled with Singles in the morning and
Doubles in the afternoon.
First matches are 11:00 am and 11:30 am; priority will given for
10:30 am and 11:00 am practice court slots to players with 11/11:30
**All posted match times are subject to change dependent on the
weather. In the event of play suspension(s) due to rain,
followed-by scheduling may be used in lieu of set match times (a
not-before time will be provided). Information regarding any
changes to the published schedule will be posted at the top of this
page, and whenever possible the Tournament Director will contact
players directly as needed - **PLEASE be sure to provide TD with
your best method of contact at Registration (personal cell phone is
All events will have a feed-in consolation through quarterfinals
(FICQ). Players will automatically be entered into consolation draw
following a main draw loss; if you do not wish to play the
consolation, please inform Tournament Director as soon as
All white attire is required on court. Non-white
piping, striping and small logos are acceptable (85% Rule). While
it is preferred, shoes do not have to be white. Long-sleeve
shirts/jackets and pants worn during 10 minute warmup do not have
to be white, as long as they are removed prior to match start (does

Players have access to the following: outdoor hard
courts (8 am - 8 pm; first come, first serve basis), locker rooms,
towel service, pool, snack bar, clubhouse (bar, lounge, viewing
decks, pro shop) and dinner service (Wednesday - Saturday) for the
duration of the tournament.

(including prepared sandwiches/salads, snacks, fruit and

with a credit card at any point during the event. This two-minute
process (credit card will be immediately returned to player), which
allows players to simply give their name upon ordering, helps
simplify everything for our staff serve you quicker and more
efficiently (always important when grabbing a meal prior to a
match!). Nothing will be charged to the credit card until accounts
are closed by staff as directed by players. Open account tabs may
be viewed at any time by players upon request. Upon tournament
completion, all remaining open tabs will be charged and players
will receive an itemized receipt by email.
While racket stringing is not offered on site, we have an on-call
stringer available; rackets will be picked up and dropped off at
the Club, same-day if necessary. Please contact TD Peter Ross for

at least for initial contact - due to high call volume during
tournament, response time is far shorter via text).

Player party will be Tuesday, August 21 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Dinner
and beverages are complimentary for all tournament players and one
guest. Additional guests are welcome at a cost of $10 per person.
Wessen LTC Members are invited to join the players, to socialize
and welcome you to our Club.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, August 6, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
