ALL PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONFIRMING NEXT ROUND MATCH TIMES AT 7:00pm THE NIGHT BEFORE. TIMES POSTED AFTER 7:00PM the day before will be correct match times. Example look online Wednesday 10/3 at 7pm for Thursdays 10/4 match times repeat the pattern nightly. Times might be adjusted due to people winning in multiple divisions.

Main draw matches will be best two out of three sets regular
scoring. Consolation matches will be two sets and a 10 point

Seeding appeals must be received by 5:00PM Thursday, September
27th. After the close of the appeals process first match starting
times will be published as soon as possible followed by the
draws.

The seeding for the southern events (singles and doubles) will be
completed using the latest southern standings list.
The seeding for Mixed Doubles will be completed using the sum of
the latest doubles standing of both players in the team.

The Mixed 40's, 50's 50's 60's and 70's will all be played as
Category 1 National Championship Gold Ball Event (1000point level).
All other events offered will remain unchanged for 2018.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULING
Mixed Doubles national events will be tentatively scheduled to
begin on Thursday.
New for this year: The maximum number of events allowed to enter
is two, however Players may enter two mixed events for
2018.
Players in these draws may be required to play two matches per
event, per day in those events.
*If you are entered in two events, one of which is a national mixed
event, you may be required to play three matches per day.
For all other events play will be scheduled for one round per event
per day.
Based on draw size play in non national events may begin as early
as Wednesday.
NEW- This year our Men's, Women's Singles and Doubles 70, 75 and 80
events will tentatively begin on Wednesday and may finish early
based on draw size.
ENTRIES
Players must register for the tournament online.
ENTRY FEE is $113.38 flat fee per player for one or two events.
Fees include all tennis, prizes, entertainment and
hospitality.
DAILY HOSPITALITY
Daily at Racquet Club - Breakfast bars, bananas and coffee daily.
Lunch can be purchased courtside at the Racquet Club. Other
Activities - All amenities of the Club are available to players and
guests including restaurants, pools, golf, fitness center,
horseback riding, etc. Pro Shop merchandise discounts are available
for players and their guests. On site shower facilities with towels
provided will be available to all players during the event.
EVENTS
Men's Singles/Doubles: 35,40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80
Women's Singles/Doubles: 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80
Mixed Doubles: 40, 50, 60, 70 Players may enter a maximum of two
events: one singles and one doubles events or two doubles events .
Draws with four or fewer entrants may be played as round robins.
Players may indicate if they wish to be placed into the next lower
age division A consolation tournament will be held for first match
singles losers (weather permitting). Mixed Doubles national events
will have a first match consolation and a playoff for third place.
PLAY USTA membership required. USTA RULES and THE CODE will govern
all play. Matches will be scheduled at The Club's 15 Fast Dri
courts, and will consist of the best of three tie-breaker sets,
regular scoring. Alternate sites and scoring may be used for
consolation rounds and in case of inclement weather. The "All
Factors Method" will be used to determine seedings. Players must
check-in 30 minutes prior to all matches. The Referee will govern
and enforce all USTA rules.
***Start Times: Each Player is responsible for obtaining their
first match start time. First Match Start Times will be available
online.!
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to all event winners and finalists (except
winners only in consolation and round robin events). We are proud
to announce that this year's winners will once again receive an
award exclusively designed and created for the Alan Fleming
Tournament by renowned sculptor Walter Palmer of Hilton Head, SC
and the Florida Keys. Walter Palmer has been commissioned to create
sculptures for Fortune 500 companies, luxury hotels and private
collectors throughout the US, Europe and the Caribbean. We are
pleased to be awarding a dolphin trophy called "Over the
Top".
EVENING SOCIALS
This year's centerpieces for our evening socials have been provided
by local Seabrook resident, Suzanne Strehle, who offers beautiful
decorations and flower arrangements. For more information on

PLAYERS MUST REGISTER FOR EVENING SOCIAL EVENTS IN ADVANCE TO

The 2018 Charitable beneficiary will be The Blessing Basket, a Sea
Island Hunger Awareness Foundation (SIHAF), a 501(c) (3) non profit
organization mission. SIHAF supports charitable food related
organizations that feed the hungry and provide Well Water for those
who do not have fresh water on Johns and Wadmalaw Islands. SIHAF
has no employees and distributes virtually 100% of the money raised
to needy families. Once a month the Blessing Basket provides a
basket of food , enough for seven meals, to approximately 400
