This is truly an international event. Thank you so much for coming. We have a total of 335 players entered who will compete during the next week to play over 465 matches. We wish you the best of luck and hope you have a great tournament and make some new friends. Please continue to look at this information page for updates.
Please take time to read all the important information on the tournament
home page and become familiar with navigating around www.usta.com for
important information and draws. The tournament id number is 250011117.
More complete and detailed information is found on the tennis page at www.seniorgames.net.
Please take the time to read all the information in both places. It will make your tournament experience much better.
MORE IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We always have a large number of changes the last few days before the start of the tournament. Therefore, it is difficult to get the draws out much before the Sunday check-in, and we will try to get them published by Saturday. We are trying to accommodate the many many scheduling requests from the players and that takes extra time.
For now, we would ask that you refer to the "Competitors" list to make sure you are entered in the correct events and with the correct doubles partners. If you are not in the correct event with the correct partner(S), please contact us at (435) 669-1090 or (801) 376-4966 so we can make the changes.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We will have a great tournament once we get everyone in place.
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE DRAWS
Matches will not be rescheduled to accommodate players' schedules in other sporting events. Some events may be combined if there are insufficient entries to support an event. Everyone who plays 75+ events will have only an Open division; there will be no Challenger divisions for 75+ players. If you have won a medal in the Challenger division, you could be moved into the Open division in order to make it fair for the players in the Challenger division. It has been our experience that some players will quit the tournament before it finishes. Each player owes it to the other players and the tournament to finish all scheduled matches. The draws will be posted on www.usta.com by using the tournament id number: 250011117. There will also be a link on the tennis page at www.seniorgames.net.
WE NEED YOUR CONTACT NUMBER
It is common that the tournament or site directors will need to contact you during the tournament. When you sign in for the games on Sunday, please provide a working CELL PHONE NUMBER so we can reach you. Very important!
TOURNAMENT FORMAT & SCORING
The tournament format will be a Feed-In Consolation through the Semi-Finals. This means that the losers of the Main Draw Semi-Finals will feed into the Consolation and will play for the Bronze Medal. The smaller draws could play a Round-Robin format.
The scoring for all events will be best-of-three sets with a 7-point Tie-Breaker at 6-6 in the first two sets, and in the case of split-sets, a 10-point Match Tie-Breaker will be played in lieu of the third set.
FUN SOCIAL FOR ALL TOURNAMENT PLAYERS & GUESTS
The social for all tennis tournament players and their spouse/guest will held for the 3rd year at the fairgrounds. We hope you will plan to come for this fun evening of great food, marvelous entertainment, and amazing raffle prizes. Players get in free with their ID badges and their spouse/guest can purchase a ticket there. Here is the information to get you there:
Wednesday, October 11th
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Washington County Legacy Park (Fairgrounds)
5500 West 700 South
Hurricane, UT 84737
In some events, the draws can be seeded using the current USTA national standings. This will be combined with results from the past few years where needed. If you think you could be considered for a seed, please provide the tournament director with any information, including your player record.
Mens' Singles, Womens' Singles, Mens' Doubles, Womens' Doubles, and Mixed Doubles will play each day. If you are entered in two events, you will most likely play a match in each event each day. In a rare case, you might not play on consecutive days in order for the consolation round to catch up from the main draw. This is the schedule:
Monday, October 9th 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, October 10th 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
