One Love Tennis would like to thank all parents and parents for particpating in our Southern Level 3. Our next SL3 is on May 26-27, 2012.

All Extra Draws for losing in the 1st round consolation are posted. I still have to complete the Boys 16s Extra Draw. I will post the 16s Extra Draw time later tonight. The matches for the 16s extra draw will not begin before 12 p.m.

One Love Tennis will be hosting a cookout at the main site, Hudlow Tennis Center for all parents and players from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 25. We will also be providing music for your listening pleasure so bring you ipod or ipod touch with music if you would like. Music must be clean.

All facilities will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning for warm ups. At Racquet Club of the South, there will be additional courts throughout the day on a first come first serve basis.

First match times are now posted. Click "Future Match Info Report" above to view your first match time. The draws will be posted on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. Please remember that we are having check in at Racquet Club of the South on Friday evening form 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. If you do not check in on Friday night, you can check in on Saturday morning at Hudlow Tennis Center before your first match. An exception to the check in will be for the Boys & Girls 18s who can go directly to Sandy Springs on Saturday morning if they do not check in on Friday night. If BG 18 do not check in on Friday night, please bring a signed medical release form to your match on Saturday morning.

There is no mandatory Friday night check in. However, my staff will be at Racquet Club of the South on Friday night from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for anyone who wants to check in. There will be courts available to hit and a stringer at that site. On Saturday morning, if you did not check in on Friday night, you have to first check in at Hudlow Tennis Center prior to going to your first match. The exception to this is the Boys and Girls 18s playing at Sandy Springs which is a further distance from Hudlow. I need all the Boys and girls 18s to bring a signed medical release form to Sandy Springs if you did not check in on Friday night.

We are putting the finishing touches on the draw. I spent a lot of time today call players and finalizing doubles pairing which I needed before finalizing the Singles draws. Once I finished that, I had to check all the combinations and utilize the waterfall system to put doubles teams into two draws. PLEASE NOTE THAT on Saturday morning, we are playing doubles first and all matches will be played at 8:00 a.m. at the various sites. Singles will follow the doubles at all sites. I will finish the times tonight and post. I will update you again at 11:00 p.m.

MAN!!!! This new format is very time consuming and it's taking a lot more time than I anticipated. I will post the first match times tonight, Thursday, at 10:00 p.m.

The top 32 players applyin from each age group will be selected by the Southern Section office, from the latest USTA/Southern standing list -- 28 players from the age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group that have a top 40 standing and are not in the selected 28. Selections will be posted at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 20. Each group of 32 players selected from each age group will be divided into two draws of 16 each. We will be using the waterfall system to make sure each of the two 16 draws are balanced by strength. The 32 players were split as follows: Red 1,4,5, 8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32. Blue 2,3, 6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31

The Competitor's list has been divided into 2 draws and the list posted. The seeding was based on the February 13 southern standing list.

Seedingfor this tournament was based on the February 13 Southern standing list in the order in which players appear on the list. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding. The alternate list will be updated daily. It's listed above - "Alternate by Event" list. If you plan to enter another tournament, you have to first e-mail me to take your name off the altenate list.

For all USTA Southern 10 and Under, Level 1-3 tournament play (not including Jr. Team Tennis), the required scoring format, for singles matches, shall be the best of two short sets (first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) for the third set. Doubles matches for 10 and under tournament play shall consist of a regular six (6) game set, with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 6-6.

This tournament does have doubles. Once the players are selected for singles and posted, you will be able to register for doubles starting on February 20. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR DOUBLES AND SINGLES AGE GROUP MUST BE THE SAME. more info

Players registered or not registered for the singles tournament can register for doubles. But please note that the selection for doubles is in the following order: 1. Teams with both players entered in the singles. 2. Teams with one player entered in singles and one alternate. 3. Teams with one player entered in singles and one player not registered for singles. 4. Teams with both players not registered for singles.

REGISTERING FOR TWO DIVISONS: Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: (1) Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They will be removed from the other age division. (2) Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternate’s lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They will be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. (3) Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternates list of the other division. (4) Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Stringing will be available at all sites.

ON SITE ALTERNATES: "On Site" Alternates must register at their age group's tournament site. You can inform the Tournament Referee on Friday night or before that you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the first match in the first round.

MAIN DRAW & CONSOLATION SINGLES = 2 sets with a third set match tiebreak.

Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th finishers in all main draw events and winners and finalists in the Feed In consolation rounds.

We will be using the Wilson Championship ball for this tournament.

All matches will be played outdoor on hard courts.

There are no refunds issued after the cut-off date. In the event of inclement weather and no matches are played, you will receive a full credit towards a One Love Tennis tournament of equal level. Additionally if you only get to play 1 match due to inclement weather, you will receive a partial credit towards a future One Love Tennis tournament.
